Shaw Hanoi Open Documentary

It is easy to stay interested. The narration and pacing help a lot for a general audience.

Matchroom is calling control of Vietnam and Billiards. A sports production with entertainment value can be successful in the Asian market.

Thanks for sharing the video… looks like we can expect more of them:

How he laughed at, berated, and ridiculed the performer who he caused to drop his drum is all I will ever need to know about Jayson Shaw.
Agreed. That unfortunate episode followed a bizarre minutes-long sequence where he wanted everyone around him to feel his sweaty shirt. (And, oh boy, did it seem like most everyone complied!) Later, after laughing to his practice partners about what he had done to the performer, he also spent some time laughing at other pranks/lies he had told other players.

The latter half of that documentary was interesting. Seeing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the tournament and its participants was fun, as was seeing more of Hanoi and the crowds. But Jayson's self-centered and juvenile behavior was just tiresome. It's like he hasn't matured since middle school.

Factually when most people stop learning, they stop maturing. The pool players are learning the production had value in all the entertaining pool room ways.

Can they ever make viewers feel what it is like to be away most of the year playing pool as a top tier player, room owner and European Mosconi player? Jayson has to decide does he want his children in the pool world? That storyline is optional but most people know he has a family.

The quality of pool productions has to go up to keep up with standards of sports promotion.

If your a Flake, yah gotta go where the wind blows.
But to NOT throw mud, because your not my cousin :)

I can easily see why some would not enjoy this video, it's like watching a movie series that runs for ten seasons on HBO and you decided to watch season 8 and make Opinions of the characters.

Having been in the finals to two American 9 ball pro events, winning one from the losers side and losing the other, I can see/understand why I would enjoy this man time/Hanoi Time from a /Different/ perspective. And the crowds were TRULY appreciative of what was occurring. With out paying $600 a seat like Wimbleton/ NFL.

And I can easily see why a Flake would not.

Thx for vid bite.

Watching the crowd reaction, and seeing the interaction with fans did bring me some joy. Fans need to see the players they love and respect. Players need to have that fire lit underneath them and know they have support too.
