True. In the outstanding biography of Greenleaf released just a couple of years ago, it was noted that one thing that came with the repeal of prohibition in 1933 was an overabundance of parties in which alcohol was served.Greenleaf gave 'em ALL the orange ball(that would be the FIVE) when it came to drinking. BTW, i've sweated Buddy's eating game. He might get there against anybody.![]()
Greenleaf, 34 at the time, was very frequently found at these parties, and it was suggested that it was at this time that Greenleaf's drinking habit developed beyond repair. Sad story for sure.
