Best breaker in the MR format?

Ko Ping Chung does make it look so damn easy... I'm looking for some players to observe and refine my breaking.

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz is a good one to study. So is Max Lechner. So is Fedor Gorst.

I briefly played, and chatted with, an Austrian ex-pro/champ not long ago here. He recommended watching Lechner. Will check him out.

FSR is a solid breaker, I had noticed that, and I saw that as helping him achieve his tournament wins earlier in the year. Good control::Power ratio Will watch a bit of Gorst later.

Thanks for the suggestions SJM! Why do you highlight these guys specifically?
I thing Ko Ping Chung has great control, form and doesn't knock the hell out of them. Similar to FSR in that regard I think.

Unless you're playing on brand-new cloth a LOT don't expect your results to be anywhere near what you see on a MR stream. On new/slick cloth all you need is about 75% power and solid contact.

They are not the biggest breakers but the ones who seem to break most consistently. Shaw and Kaci hit the balls harder, and each is effective, as well.

You have to give it to FSR and Gorst the past 18 months.
That's based on their consistency.
Any of the top players can have the best break for a match, a day, even a tournament.
Kaci had a tourney earlier this year that was crazy good.
Last year when Kazakis beat SVB in the finals of a world championship (I think), his break could not have been better iirc.
FSR and Gorst are always a threat to run their way through a 9ball tourney.
The other guys are OFTEN a threat to do the same -just not AS often.

This is a good point.
There's one monthly tournament I play, and given the traffic of the particular hall, there is no consistency from month to month (except on the Diamond Live Streamed tables - these are higher priced so get less traffic than the other 20 or so).
My warm up at that particular event, as it's an hour taxi from my home and usually after a long day at work, is basically 20 minutes of breaking racks, and to get a coffee.

I start on the left edge of the box, hitting through a line directly at the second ball on the left of the pack, and that seems to give an effective cut on the one (with a fraction of outside on the CB). I adjust from here. I am usually adjusting power rather than cueball placement. If I am hitting harder, I slightly adjust my cut on the one ball. Does depend on how things go.
I also watch the opponents break. My last tournament, I was having a real problem getting it right, and simply copied what the successful breaker was doing on the day (which was outside my usual tactic)
