Another big $1,000 entry 600 and under tournament...

Off and on. I've played Kristian a few times when I was playing league and in some tournaments, but it's been a while. He's gotten a bit better.
My buddy and I double dipped him in a scotch doubles tournament a couple weeks back

Offered to chop it with them at 1am and of course they turned us down since it was double elimination.

Cost them a couple hundred dollars each to turn us down. 😂

harder than you think and usually get caught soon trying it. there are more people playing tournaments now than possibly ever because of Fargo. don't like it don't play. pretty simple concept.

Fargo is still a sample of all league and tournament matches. Anybody want to guess what that percentage is?
I like Fargo and participate but my guess is the winner of this tournament is underrated by about what Island Drive said.

I've only seen the first 3 racks of this Carlos Jinez that's on the stream right now, and that's enough for me to say with confidence that the kid is straight up stealing.

Anything can happen in 9ball on a barbox, but I'll be pretty shocked if he doesn't go deep.

You guess??? A career computer geek and all you can do is guess???? WTF man. ;) At the event they had in OkC a few mos. ago the guy that came in 2nd was a local with one of the lower FR's there. The huge one they had in Birmingham in Mar. was won by a female that was around 450ish iirc.

I would probably never play in one of these tournaments even if I could. I should be allowed to play but my Fargo is just over 600 but I’m way over rated.

Starts today at my home room, Racks in Sanford.

128 players. Total payouts will be approaching $200,000. Run by our local guy, Dominick Dunn.

People coming in from throughout the country and two of my buddies who play each other all the time managed to draw each other in the first round. They'll be up on the live stream at 11 AM.

Either one of them could snap it off. But then, in these things there are a lot of people who can snap it off.

If you happen to be in the area come on by. It'll be a zoo, but it's a great room with plenty of seating and genuinely good food.

Is the stream up?? I tried this link^^^ but nothing there.

Carlos Jinez playing right now just recently played in the junior world championships.

Kid gets around the table really, really well!

He's a 598 playing a 597 and its 6-6 right now. Don't know if I'd call that stealing, seems pretty even

Barboxes can be a great equalizer. I would say don't focus on the score, but actually watch him play. His composure, shot selection, and positional play are all way better than his opponent.

Bar boxes are a great equalizer that’s why everyone loves them

1. It's called the Voice of Jacksonville Pool and there's no sound??

2. During the match at the start of the stream, I noticed that both players laid their cues on the table after making the 9-ball and before the CB stopped moving. I would think that in such a big money tournament they would be more careful. Or, maybe that's allowed under the rules?

Thanks for posting the link.

Sound works just fine for me…

You might've just caught him in a quick break…

Got it! After fooling around with the volume on the player and on my computer and not getting any sound, I refreshed the page, and now I get the sound. Thanks.
