Just watched the 40+ minute highlight footage.
It could of easily been 3-2 Europe at best.... but SVB got off to a poor start, that's pool/travel/etc.
Today will be quite different.
Saw nothing special other than Wolford.
I enjoyed his game/demeanor.... he's an asset to the team....''tough in the trenches'' type player

Nothing special the first day from either side, cept SBV never got outta the gate.

Today will be quite different.

filler's single was kind of special. i believe he was 100% in all areas, no miss pool
 
the mental game is on full display here. Europe is way more relaxed and playing with supreme confidence. Meanwhile USA looks totally nervous, and feeling the pressure from the opening rack.

Mental game.
Not many can spend two days traveling to get to another part of the planet, then be relaxed and have their mind right.
No different than being on the road in a car for two days then in a hotel, with different sounds/bedding etc...And expect to have your game in place.... then being in and arena surrounded by spectators.
I guess some just expect USA to be...
Relaxed and be mentally perfect right out of the gate. LOL

It's so easy for some to say the obvious, but not seen the real picture.

Bottom line..... The European player group has ALLOT more talent/period.

Also, many easy outs/misses by USA were totally unexpected and thus it made the other team seem relaxed/mentally better.
Not to me.

What is”obvious“ is of course Europe has the better team. Just Look at the faces and body language of the American players they are extremely nervous,and playing under tremendous pressure. I think if they were able to relax, it would be a much more competitive contest. Thsee playets travel all year all over the word, so I dont think that’s playing too much of a factor. Hostile crowd, playing for your country, playing a superior opponent and not being able to relax is team Usa”s downfall.
