DCC match results?

If you don't watch the Filler/Hall Bank finals match, you will have missed the best Bank contest ever. I'm not a spoiler...watch it.
 
May be sacrilegious to say, but does this years derby seem to be missing a lot of top players?
 
called it.. but for filler to play as fast and loose in the semi + final as he did when i saw him play a dead money player in the first rounds is wild. hall shouldve won though.

as for the antics after the semi, he makes himself a disservice by even reacting to ppl taunting him or whatever that crowd member did. that's some earl mentality there. it only makes it worse for him in the future, showing that he can be interacted with in that way.

in 9-ball, yes. in banks/1pkt, well dennis and bustie can't enter the US and efren isn't there, but otherwise it's pretty much the cream of the crop

I mean it’s still a strong field, but we’re missing a lot of the top talent. FSR, the entire Filipino contingent (Raga, Chua, Biado, etc.), Ko brothers, Jung Lin Chang, Kaci, etc. the field still has killers but it just seems different than past derby’s.

There's always someone who doesn't make it and someone who says the field is weaker than before. Fantastic players ARE there. Why worry about who's not??
 
yeah the filipinos and most of the top Europeans not being there takes some luster off, 34 of the top 50 players in the world are filipino or European

"the world is against me", screaming at the crowd at the end of the match.. the best thing is to not interact or let it get to him, because the next tournament some other hecklers might try the same thing. pool is mental enough as it is.
 
I just posted that this was the best Bank finals ever. Both players played at a Jason Miller level, who after all these years had my number one dominant Banks performance at the Derby. The safety play this year was unlike any I had seen before at the Derby, with several matches seeing the wedge. JHall was playing so lights out, and Filler is Filler. I remarked 4 years ago while watching him trying to figure out banking on the Diamond that he would soon be the best tournament bank player in the world.
