Laura!!! She was a longtime Internet poster from way back.
I've never seen a political ad with pool before, and this one is centered around it. I'd probably vote for her just for the pool
Any politician that is friends with Emily Frazer or the pool community at large, has a voting base that has historically been under represented.
Choosing to support the business interest of Main Street, the same small to mid size companies that employ local people and likely have a local customer base that is loyal and active.
The pool community is organized and it shows on social media.
Politicians would be wise to ally politically for the benefit of the sport, its growth and its future in America.
Globally no one has anything bad to say about billiard as an organized sport with government endorsements.
Its a PR win all they have to do is invest.
Some pool rooms need better connections to hospitals or law enforcement for shooting events.

We were close friends back in the 90s when she lived in NYC. We hung out together at Chelsea Billiards every night. Very decent player. Laura loved to match up and challenge herself. She didn't always make the easiest games for herself, but she fought hard for every shot. Won some and lost some.
A retired longtime state senator from Wisconsin, Fred Risser is a lifelong pool fanatic. Although he is on the wrong side of nearly every political question (just my opinion) he has been a decades long fixture in the Madison Area pool scene, and is a very decent guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Risser

Hmmmm, what about all those old school pool hustlers who live in their cars between scores? Seems like they should at least rate a subsidized car heater, which would cost a lot less than $700,000.
I actually don't think it's that insane. Her district looks like it's about D+50, so if you vote R, it's practically wasted.
However, having an avid pool player in Congress is the best (or only) way to have $1,000,000 or so to start a youth after school pool program randomly show up on page 828 of some infrastructure bill. While I'm not a fan of pork, I'd rather this than have that same $1,000,000 go to studying the mating habits of tree frogs in Paraguay.
