These are actual posted rules on a wall of a pool room in my area. Has anyone ever seen a more hostile attitude?

Not much wrong with the rules except the way they are presented. When you give people the choice of "My way or the highway" they generally opt for the highway. I can't remember but one place that had a large sign with the rules on the wall. They were much more politely stated than this. Gentle instructions are fine. Pissing off players is usually expensive one way or another.

Those rules look like a good idea, poorly implemented.

These rules tell me that the customers don't know how to act right. A sad commentary on the state of pool in this room. Ordinarily, players educate the uninformed. We always treated tables as though they were ours, because they were. If they got trashed, then we had to play on trashed tables.

Yeah, other than a couple small modifications I'd post this near my pool table.

I wouldn't post it for one simple reason: Anyone who needs to be told that stuff is either a child, or wouldn't be invited to play on my table.

For the record, I have no problem with decent kids playing on my table or with my cues. They're kids, shit happens, they likely won't do any damage I can't repair.

I agree that it's not so much the rules as it is the attitude with which they are presented. That GTFO on the bottom is terrible customer relations. It's 100% attitude.

I don't disagree with any one rule specifically, but I sure wouldn't want this sign posted on my home pool room wall either.

I'll agree that the GTFO part is a stupid message, but not on a fascist way. More of a douchy way. Seems more like the owner has a tribal or barbed wire tattoo, named his car, and refers to his penis as, 'big Johnson'.

One of the best pool rooms in the Northwest had strict rules on a huge hand painted sign. It closed over twenty years ago, and I bet members here will be able to quote the rules and name the place.
