Greg Sowder (custom cue maker) took a look at my cue and he confirmed it to be an Abe Rich. He said everything about it points to Abe. The derilin rings, length of exposed wood past shaft ring, and specific signature butt cap. The forearm appears to be an early Adams and colors are vibrant. Points are sharp. This cue must of rarely left its case as it looks almost new. Tip is good and just needed a little shaping. I haven't weighed it, but feels like 18.5-19oz. Shaft is straight with slight wobble from lower end. Together tip stays on table. I did shoot several racks with it today and this cue is a solid performer. The hit is solid. It's easy to draw and modulate spin. I not a super fan of the sparkly red plastic, but plastics were the newest thing in the day and lava lamps were all the rage. This is probably a late 60's or early 70's cue. Does anyone know what it's worth? Greg ballparked it at around $400, but with Abe's history and cue rarity, thinking more.
