Seyberts$

hahahaha oh man, how old are you my man? no disrespect, in fact its high utmost respect to you because you remind me of my elderly, my mom is like that. She loves to saves the little nitty pitty of things, in fact she saves 0.33$ thinking she had a bargain HAHAHAHA :D So I understand people like you..

But not me though, i'd throw $100 like its nothing...money is nothing to me but dirt, comes and goes.
Go thru a few homes/wives and money seems quite different when you get beat.
What did u order from Pool Dawg?
2 Mori Hard tips....

They were totally fucking with you because moaning about $3 is very Karen-esque (yes, 3$ to some is small, to some it's not, I get that).

You should have brown-nosed them, told them you'd much rather spend your money with them, and be loyal to the brand you've always bala bala bala whatever else. Told them you'd review the product and shout them out or some other BS.
It was double that, but I know you never look to save money at the grocery store, or do you ?

I save every penny I can. I am not from an affluent background. It's one of the reasons why I live many thousands of miles from my home in the first place...
You could have just taken your custom elsewhere? Or described some effort to maintain brand loyalty, and they may have reacted differently to you is the idea I have. To straight up complain, they probably just see you as a Karen.

I am yin & yang on this. I use Ecoupons at the food store to save 25¢ one something, then put a 20
in the lotto machine or bet a hundred on a set without even thinking about it.

Us humans be weird :)

Moori tips appear to be $14.95 @ Seyberts

Until you click on em & the price becomes $24!

It was that THEY were going to tell the OTHER retailer how to price the same product.
All businesses operate with different costs depending on location, it just seemed weird for your competitor to call you to tell you your prices were Wrong.
Shows to me that the Dawg sells MORE Mori tips, because they are able to keep their profit margins better.
So if a dealer sold you a car that you liked for $20,000, but you checked another car dealer and they said they would sell the SAME car to you for $19,000, your telling me you'd pay more because you liked the one that made 1K more.

I spent 1/3 of my working career in Sales.
Never ONCE did I call a competitor to tell them they should raise their prices.

Selling is competition... that will never change.

But for a competitor to call his competition & tell em to Raise their prices is not normal.
And being an ex pro pool player is also not the norm.
To me it sounds like something the person you were talking to would never actually do. That alone sets of the "liar" alarm in my head. I don't like buying from liars, so I will avoid seyberts if this is the kind of person or behavior they use.

I can 1000% understand not price matching, but saying what they said... I'll vote with my money elsewhere, even if it costs more.

No, that's not what I am saying. I am saying they are probably fucking with you because of the way you raised the issue with them.

But yes, sometimes people will also pay more to support brands that they like and wish to grow.

Bill did it ever occur to you that Dawgs price was not in line with the manufacturers pricing? If that was the issue I could understand a retailer contacting another retailer and asking about their pricing of said item.

Perhaps the sales associate dealing with you was....

Having a bad day.

High as a kite.

Working their last day.

Felt you are a Karen and was just jabbing you.

All of the above.

When your on fixed income, with everything else paid off, it's nice to have an extra $150 a mth to help pay property taxes at yrs end.
Plus telling your competitor to raise their price, hummmm.
Must be the new norm.
Basically it's called collusion.
Price fixing creates a non competitive marketplace.

I'm hoping the person from Seyberts was simply being sarcastic.

What's amazing about all these comments about saving a few dollars being petty is.
This group of people I'm SURE never buy anything at the grocery store on sale.
Especially if it's what they ALWAYS get :).
Oh well, it's allot more fun these days to make fun than Cent$ to many.... But I'd bet they are the ones who are always looking for a good bye/adios.
Thx for the free entertainment.
So do you call one grocery to let them know another is selling something cheaper? If you do you need to get a life lol Who cares… buy it some place else if you find it cheaper. Thats why you price shop. I can get stuff cheaper at walmart but I can’t stand the place and prefer target so I pay a little more. Your comparison makes no sense. I’m sure the majority of people (at least the people I know) goto the same grocery store every week. They don’t goto a different because one has ketchup on sale for $1 cheaper 😂.

I was just at acs nationals and a certain stand .. which was huge .. was selling everything MUCH MUCH higher then everyone else there. Predator cases that our $200 on line and at other stands he was selling for $340. kamui gloves were $40 when everyone else was selling them for $30 . I didn’t scold him I just bought it some place else. It’s his business do what you want. see how that works..

Some vendors have imap pricing and online retailers can't go below that price. Could be possible that this item was below that pricing.

When I can go to Safeway and get 3 Blue Cheese's, for $10 or go to another store and get one for $6.79, it makes NO sense to pay double.

That is only for the super slow tip, all other models are $14.95

They contacted me after they responded back when I looked at their website.
I told them I purchased the same product from Pool Dawg for $16.95 each.
They wanted $20.
Then they said they will let the dog know to raise their prices.

Wow....

What did you expect?

Some products have pretty tightly controlled MSRP's. If PD was undercutting improperly then Seybert's was in no way running afoul by notifying them. Much ado 'bout nothing really. Used to be in gun/sporting gds. business and stuff like this happened a lot. We nailed a place for under-pricing a named brand scope by a big margin. Manuf. sent a cease/desist order and closed their account.
