2024 World Pool Championship

Some good play, some sloppy play, that's pool.
I watch on a large screen, rarely look at the chat, always on mute.
I looked at the chat a few times and it's disgusting. The disrespect for players and people in general is outrageous, these can't be adults. Those chatters don't have the game or the balls to step into the arena.
There are also good people chatting.
It's amazing, this huge production and connected to it is a chat room full of shitheads knocking the game and players. Get rid of the chat or somehow police it. Remove the garbage and move on.

Split the chat 3 ways. For, Against, mosh...

Fast or Slow, is on the players alone. Competence, competence, competence.
they also got business arrangements to ( oops, backers ) address. Living out of a suitcase or just plain dead in a suitcase etc...

I turn the commentary down when it gets annoying. Then again it's all youtube. No chat on full screen

Raga has quickly become an overrated player.

Filler is on a completely different level.
Overrated? Why don’t you go watch the video of him disassembling Ko Pin Yi 10-0 in last year’s European Open round of 32.

How he fairs against Filler today remains to be seen, but to declare him overrated seems to be the comment of a fool. He’s still in this event because he can play.

Lot of good points from you and Stu. It is Matchroom's responsibility to set up rules that they believe will be best to grow the sport both for the players and viewers. It is the player's job to optimize their performance.

My point is that if the rules don't have a shot clock then I don't hate the players for doing their best. They did indeed know what they signed up for. So did the viewers.

I am a little surprised MR hasn't just added 2 additional shot clocks to tables 1/2. The only people complaining are those watching those two tables from home.

I want to say that in the USopen table layout. Both 1 and 2 were side by side, but can't recall if they used only 1 ref for both. I do know that the ref has nothing to do with managing the shot clock on the main table. I presume MR just doesn't want the additional overhead of shot clocks on those tables. It's more than just a dude with a stopwatch. There's several monitors off camera that display the count down for the players.

Kaci gets arm surgery and comes back steamrolling and pseudo-whitewashing his opponents on the biggest stage of pool... Suspicious...

Hunter and Tyler might have to look into surgery.

soufi actually said in the interview with karl that he used to be slow, or started off being a slow player. it's usually the other way around. i think it's possible for many players to speed up, it's all about trusting your instincts

Dang and Mickey started off strong and now it looks like both of them are legit trying to throw the match.
