Bill passed away last night. He was nice guy who helped a lot of people improve their pool game. He helped my wife when she first started to play and encouraged her to improve. Nice guy with a ton of gamble. RIP Bill.

Bill would also introduce himself by saying "Diamond Bill from Pleasant hill, never worked and never will"
My thoughts are with his his family and friends.

RIP Bill, I had the chance to watch him play a few times over the years. Good player, sorry for your loss.

I only ran across Bill a few times while living in the San Jose area and he always seemed bigger than life. Sadly, now he is.

RIP Bill.

RIP Bill

I have an Accu-stats match with Bill and Jimmy Mataya doing the commentary and he seemed like an easy going person who loved pool.

Hi I loaned my copy to Bill a long time ago, and he never gave it back to me, I talket to Pat at Accu-Stats but he has no copys of that match,
It it possible you could make me a copy. I could play it at his memorial tournment.

Thank

That's about as good as a quote gets.

Ohhhh my god, I remember that... :)

WAY back a long time ago, I lived in Seattle and spent a lot of time
with Bill.. I have a LOT of FUNNY and fond memories..
That quote took me WAYYY back.. Thank you. :)

Bill was an AMAZING man, and he is sure missed and always sill be.

RIP Bill

Back in the 90s bill traveled all the way from Seattle to try and trap me at my pool room (Racketeers) in Metairie, La. Bill was a super nice guy, pool certainly has lost one more good guy.

Is this the guy that ran around with cole dickson some back during the 90,s. If it is he played pretty sporty and took off a few scores while in the carolinas. I think that guy was billy cress and i,m guessing maybe the same guy. Sorry for your loss(family) and god bless.

I last saw, and played Bill, about 12 years ago in Oregon - he was an excellent One Pocket player.

RIP Bill, we'll play again some years down the road, Ghost

Bill has provided me many fond memories. When I get to heaven I expect him to give me the seven. 😉 Rest in Peace.

These resurrected threads get me every time, I must be a lollipop. The part that bothers me the most is that I remembered his death, I would have bet it was in the last 2 years, it was 10 years ago. It won't be long now and it will be old "book" that's leaving.
I hope it's a while , I am still not ready to fly around and sing all day, and I am really not ready to stoke the furnace, and then climb in and out of it all day!

This one has thrown me for a loop because JAM knew him and it appears she is just now getting the news. Plus, I'm not sure who westcoast is talking to and not sure if folks realize this is 10 year old news. But the commentary of the CJ v Earl match was fun.
