Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I would expect each of the big 3 to be the proper shot depending on the individual. My quick an simple experiment showed me that my first choice was the lowest percentage of success. I found a way to flub all 3 but the red line statistics was hugely better. Considering perfect shape OK shape and new plan shape. Red line won all 3 categories. Again just a personal preference. Based on my methods/skills levels. 🤷‍♂️

Also, the fact that you mention "balls kicked in for the win" should tell you you are taking the incorrect path
That Does it.

Hey Moron! Have you ever had an opponent sit down with a smug smirk after laying a weak assed hook? I love wipeping smirk faces. 🤷‍♂️
Sorry, I try to behave. 🤷‍♂️

Irritation is an old hustler tactic. Just a feeler to see who or what I am speaking with. Your statements continue to seem to be emanating from your anal orifice. You so far have not added any value to this thread. Are you trying out for improv comedy shows. I see only one line quips that seem to intend to inflame. Getting my nostrils flaring is an accomplishment. I am still celebrating my 73rd birthday. I bet you were sitting green when I won my first tournament.
Congrats on 73! Seriously.

Probably, I'm only 54.

I never said you couldn't play, I said you were playing the wrong shot.

Top pros do the same thing from time to time, it doesn't mean they can't play.

Because you had 2 successful results shooting the wrong shot doesn't mean it's the correct shot.

Think about it

I said you were playing the wrong shot.
WITH NO JUSTIFICATION!!! Or of explanation of how you reach that conclusion. I was simply doing my best to use a scientific method and publish my results accurately. I request that you do the same and report your results. Is that asking too much?

I already said you risk being hooked(by the 5 ball which is in direct path, not sure how you assumed i meant 7 ball) running too far up table leaving no shot or a bank, or scratching(again I have no idea how you assumed i meant corner pocket) in the side.

I just did this. Easier to control, and almost perfect for angle. CB came to rest on red line right between 6B &9B. I wound up potting 7B top rt corner and CB came back for 9B top side pocket. Hit on 2B can be a little harder than a soft hit bottom right.
red route

Why argue? There'sa myriad of ways to get it done. Just depends on how confident you feel about the run/pattern.
you say to may toe; I say toma toe.

I already said
I am surprised that we haven't received a caution, a warning nor reprimand from the citizens volunteer forum patrol. 🤷‍♂️
To stay on topic... I tried all 3 and learned something. Of course at my age that might...woah, Did You See that Bird? Just weaving in my lane osifer. 😉

Get back to enjoying that birthday, we're not getting any younger 😁

I have to get surgery on an unattached bicep tendon soon(awaiting surgery date)

Low or mid outside 2 rails backwards for sure. Would have to be at the table to know how much draw to put.

Set up a straight in shot, OB and CB near the middle of the table, a few feet apart. So what’s easier - to pocket the ball and draw the CB a specified distance, 1,2,3, and 4 feet or pocket the ball and follow the CB 1,2,3 and 4 feet? For most, speed control on the CB is far more accurate using follow.
Look at the proportions. Going forward you have a quadratic equation (kidding) to navigate the traffic and coming backwards you got nuthin but parking lot.

Buddy's never been an 'inside fan'. On streams he always advocates going with outside. I agree, inside can be my nemesis at times, actually most of the time.
Well, if you want to cut off half your arsenal listen to this nonsense. If you don't want to be stupid, practice inside

Yes, I'm calling him stupid

That was my original assessment. In experiments I was too often getting a back cut angle that even when slight gives me problems. (I know I know practice) 😉 Then the straight path between the 5 and 9 requires just a little low and was narrow so my percentage of success was lower than expected. The red path stopping near the 7 and side just fell into my natural ball line. No sauce just plain old vanilla. Making good shape the majority and workable position on the less than optimal positions. I had to run it a bunch of times to get a complete ooops and hit the 7.

I’m just gonna play safe! 🎱
Atta boy!

Your daily table Mr. Center Ball. (pronounced mai - ass)
:ROFLMAO:

Since everyone in this thread is under mandatory splainin, a pool room would have to magically appear in town where I could walk in and sample the goods. Wouldn't bother with full rack patterns the first month at least. lol...

I was down stairs doing my laundry and I rolled out some balls on the table and, wala, ended up with this shot on the 2-Ball. Just wondering which way you posters might play it. Going with a little inside and coming towards the 3B between the 5B and 9B? Or avoiding all of that and coming along the bottom rail for position on the 3B?

A choice of outside over inside is to minimize the variablesrange of effect. With inside the friction between balls can have a larger effect. Pristine Conditions to degrees of dirty leads this barbox player to favor outside. Not exclusively just favored. ☺
They fall better w outside. Just sayin'. Lol.
