Spy?And Styer is head over heels in love with a Russian spy...
You can view them this way, but the population of all of Europe more then doubles the population of the United States.Srsly?
The Mosconi Cup is modeled after the Ryder Cup-
FYI: there’s 44 countries in Europe and 50 states in America.
So, you’re saying in all 50 states, we don’t have enough strong players, but out of 44 countries (view them as states which comprise the European Union) there are more strong players?
It isn't the European Union, or Jayson couldn't play. It is the continent of Europe. MC predates EU.Srsly?

Someone obviously missed the memo. Most of America is aligned with Russian interests now, and assorted other petty dictators.Oh I know. He now has access to deep secrets about Viking and Triple Sixty products. Russia can reverse engineer them and get an advantage over us in jump cues. I can’t stand the idea of a jump cue gap. And talk about deep cover. Nobody expects a pool player to be a spy so all the three letter agency types will let him in sensitive facilities and get all the secrets. He might even see the Big Board.
So when you're looking for only five (5) capable players to compete well in the MC, you really think there's a significant difference between a pool of 330 million people to 730 million?Well, the EU population would be over 600m (without Russia) vs the US at 335m. So it shouldn't be overly surprising that given a fairly significant population advantage they would statistically be more likely to be able to field a strong team minus all other factors.
Of course there is. The pool of Asians is twice of Europeans, and look how that went for Europe in the Reyes Cup.So when you're looking for only five (5) capable players to compete well in the MC, you really think there's a significant difference between a pool of 330 million people to 730 million?

It is an automatic $20-$40K for him, he would be an idiot to pass it up.I'd love if SVB was an asset at MC, big fan of his, but this format just doesn't seem a good fit for him.
True, I was not cc’d on that one.Someone obviously missed the memo. Most of America is aligned with Russian interests now, and assorted other petty dictators.

Did they suddenly make babies like rabbits in the 90's? Because back then USA put a boot in their butts. You can view them this way, but the population of all of Europe more then doubles the population of the United States.
Every year there is the same argument about the population size of Europe and the USA and some people think that this is the reason why the USA has lost another MC.
Sooo...
1. I take a guess here, but I think the population of Spain, Scotland, Denmark and Albania combined is around 65 Million, enough to beat 335 Million Americans.
2. Albania, Austria and Scotland will be around 17 Million people and I wonder what Kaci, Ouschan, He, Lechner and Shaw would do to a US team in a MC Setting
3. As a side note EU and Europe isnt the same, EU is older than the MC and by the way I think we could switch Shaw with Mark Williams from Wales, to bring down the population count for Europe to maybe 15 Million. Would be in the spirit of Matchroom to throw in a snooker player and the MC wouldn't be so onesided.
4. There are many reasons why the USA players have been a step behind the Europeans in the MC for the past 10 years, but population count is not one of them.
You are mistaken about the continent of Europe being the only place players are drawn from.It isn't the European Union, or Jayson couldn't play. It is the continent of Europe. MC predates EU.
We tend to win when we have a real coach.4. There are many reasons why the USA players have been a step behind the Europeans in the MC for the past 10 years, but population count is not one of them.
That was my point about Jayson, he isn't from an EU country, the UK withdrew from the EU. But I was wrong on the MC predating the EU, the EU started in '93, MC in '94.You are mistaken about the continent of Europe being the only place players are drawn from.
The United Kingdom which includes Scotland, became part of the European Union and you are correct about MC predating the EU, however the United Kingdom which Matchroom Sport belongs to, has always had players representation as its founding country.
I’ve been to and filmed many MC’s![]()
Correct. American pool has been popular and has always been here, especially after tables were put on every military base and Brunswick focused on home table sales. You can view them this way, but the population of all of Europe more then doubles the population of the United States.
