I had a friend mail his cues to the hotel he was staying at for APA Vegas, cues arrived one day early, and were signed for by the hotel.
He arrived the next day and asked for his package which the hotel could not locate. After two days of looking the hotel told him something must have happened they were terribly sorry and offered him Bonvoy points to apologize.
He explained that he expected them to cover the cost of replacement which was roughly around 5K and the hotel said yeah that's not going to happen the T&C's you agreed to state that we're not responsible for lost luggage or packages you send to us and that he should probably file on his homeowner's insurance and that was the end of the matter.
So he filed a police report there in Vegas and the responding officer said yeah this happens daily....
