wouldn't bet against fedor. at this point the same goes for one pocket.
i enjoy watching the old bank specialists though, especially brumback

Fedor has WON 7 of the last 12 events at derby SEVEN! Nobody is playing close to him. Filler has won 3 of last 12Daulton was a through and through champion, in every single game he played. He was not a bank specialist only. He mostly quit pool early to become a promoter in the SouthEast, and then basically played one tournament per year (the DCC), for the next 20 years.
The knowledge of any game can't be learned in a book or video, IMO, especially banks. So while yes, the knowledge is out there, for it to be "learned", It must be played. Today, the only banks game in town is the DCC. So Fedor's only competition is 9 ball players like himself, who play banks once per year at DCC.
The past 10 or so years all the Banks specialist have gotten old, and the best general cueists have won.
Daulton was one of the best cueists, IMO, and also a bank specialist. I think if 21 yr old Daulton played today's Fedor in Banks, Daulton would win. If they played a race to 7 every day for a year, Fedor might become the favorite around the 6 month mark.
Sure. He don't need me putting him in and he's easy to get ahold of, there's nothing stopping you from going broke, have at itHow about 8 ball against Sammy Soto. I'll take Sammy.
Filler would be the betting favorite over Gorst in any game today. 9, 10, 14.1, one hole. Maybe banks would be a pickem.Fedor has WON 7 of the last 12 events at derby SEVEN! Nobody is playing close to him. Filler has won 3 of last 12
MaybeFiller would be the betting favorite over Gorst in any game today. 9, 10, 14.1, one hole. Maybe banks would be a pickem.
If it went to the action room there might be some early even bets, but then the Gorst betters would run out and the remaining filler betters would get no action.
The others mentioned are all great bankers. The problem is that Fedor has too many advantages. He is fundamentally superior, acclimated to the highest level of pressure, has a win streak and confidence unmatched by any of the bank specialists, and simply strikes and pockets as well as anyone that has ever lived.
In days past the bank specialists had a knowledge edge that allowed them to win their share of these events. Same with one pocket specialists. But today the knowledge is all out there and it is a game of execution. Simply no one is executing as well as Fedor and Filler and the results of the last few DCCs have demonstrated that nicely.
It doesn't matter if Fedor doesn't have knowledge that the others don't have or whether he has invented any new banks. This isn't a question of who contributed most to the body of bank knowledge. It is a question of who plays the game better. So while SVB and Filler are contenders, I don't see how any of yesteryear's players could stand a chance in a long format.
He has everything over them, literally everythingWhat advantages does Fador have in Banks over the Bank Pool specialists from the past??? Few people play banks anymore so he might beat everybody on the list in this post, but not the champions of banks form years gone by, thats all they did.
Bugs, Cannon Ball, Eddie Taylor, Clem, The Cincinnati Kid, Anderson, the Speths, Nate..., I mean that a short list of guys who's primary game was banks!
I agree completely. He just plays too well. The others mentioned are all great bankers. The problem is that Fedor has too many advantages. Hell, nobody is anymore. I grew up playing full rack banks and actually prefer it but it's been close to 30 years since I've played it.Not sure if Fargo still has his standing offer to play anyone full rack banks. But that is a whole different animal that Fedor is probably not versed in.
Dig him up and let's goPlaying 'Full Rack Banks' about 1 dozen players from the 60's-70's on the Southside of Chicago!
Starting with 'Bugs'!
I wish I could!Dig him up and let's go
The offer has been out there for 30 years and very few try it. None of the world champs were barred.Hell, nobody is anymore. I grew up playing full rack banks and actually prefer it but it's been close to 30 years since I've played it.
Fedor would dominate even more in full rack in my honest opinion. He doesnt play 1 pckt or short rack banks either but he still dominates in those games.
Who's easy to get a hold of?Sure. He don't need me putting him in and he's easy to get ahold of, there's nothing stopping you from going broke, have at it
I think Fedor has a solid edge playing 1pkt. Just my opinion.Filler would be the betting favorite over Gorst in any game today. 9, 10, 14.1, one hole. Maybe banks would be a pickem.

Filler is definitely the favorite in 9 ball. Any other game he's not a favorite.I think Fedor has a solid edge playing 1pkt. Just my opinion.
You’re probably right on the ball running games though.
Filler is definitely the favorite in 9 ball. Any other game he's not a favorite.
