Welp those are all real GB’s from the 60’s. If it’s delrin than all the other delrin cues I have must be something else. I’m confusedAFAIK Delrin is all GB used for buttcaps.

Put a little pipe thread tape around the screw parts after a good cleaning, should snug it up and still come off when you want..With this particular cue, I can screw back on the joint collar and the butt cap, both screw on snugly, and the cue plays fine. If anything, I'll add some glue to secure them in place. But, I do like having the ability to unscrew them, if only to see (and show others) how it is made. It's just another cheap, but nice looking (to me) cue in my little, but growing collection.
You don't want 'the ability to unscrew' it. WTF???? Needs to be screwed-n-glued so it won't buzz and rattle. They use shitty adhesives on some of those older chinese imports and it dries-out and gets brittle. Without glue of some kind it will come loose all the time and buzz/rattle.

Players was Jim Lucas out Florida and Cue & Case, and he sold it. But, to whom, yeah I assumed it was foreign. Koda 100% is related to Cue & Case prior to selling the company. Any time I have an old Lucas or Players question, I reach out to Wes Bond. Wes is Jim's son-in-law.NO. C-n-C is owned by Escalade same outfit in INDIANA that owns LifeFitness,Brunswick,BearArchery just to name a few. Wasn't sold to some asian outfit. Koda has nothing to do with Players, its still a C-n-C brand. I need to write this date down, i actually knew something cuewise Freddie didn't.![]()
If it’s a plastic, it’s Delrin. Ivory would be the other possibility.
It’s not ivory. I’m certain of that. It’s a plastic for sure, but doesn’t look like delrin on the szams etc. I’m not sure what it is. I’ll look into that, I’m curious. If it’s a plastic, it’s Delrin. Ivory would be the other possibility.
why the fk would anyone want a cue you could randomly take apart? that's just dumb as hell. the op obviously knows very little about cues and saying shit like this just shows how little. that and the fact that a 40dollar chinese decal cue is part of any 'collection'. please.screw cue together with small dab of silicone adhesive, should prevent buzzing and be "removable" as well.
just curious but who did you ask? i'm asking because i contacted Cue-n-Case and they said '92ish.Since I was on the desktop anyway, I asked and was surprised. Players cues started production in 1979.

Although Jim Lucas started his billiards sales in 1974, he lists the start of Cue and Case in Sept 1989 and Jan 1990. lol. The history page says ‘91. Someone’s memory is clearly scrambled.just curious but who did you ask? i'm asking because i contacted Cue-n-Case and they said '92ish.
I guess I’d need to see a better photo of the butts. Your photos don’t look like Delrin to me either, but I’d be able to tell you definitively in person. Natural Delrin is translucent white. But sometimes manufacturers put white colorant so that the Delrin is opaque white. It’s not ivory. I’m certain of that. We were talking about the butt material on early 70’s JW’s this past week.
Some of those old cues were different material, which seems avaliable now,
I’m not an expert on Bushka’s to the extent I know all the details on all materials. Will be cool to learn

These are not as opaque as normal delrin. It’s a synthetic material for sure. Some resin (there’s zillion of those as you know) id love for you to see them someday.I guess I’d need to see a better photo of the butts. I got the skinny on it, just to satisfy my curiosity. Lucas tells me he started the company in 1989 but got it officially incorporated in 1991.I'm gonna go by Cue and Case and not some AI search engine.
