Download 8 months of photos of eBay sales of used cues. Search it to find prices on cues you are interested in. Missing are those sold between October 1, 2024 and February 26, 2025
The adobe pdf file includes sale information but does not include the original-sale’s webpage of photos and seller’s description (find that on eBay if items were sold within 3 months of search).
To only get an idea of what is in the complete file, download a few days of sales from April 2024. Unlike the other larger files, it does not require Google permission to download. To get the larger complete files, download it, Google forwards your request and I will give you permission to download.
The information is that listed on the eBay sale posting and includes photo and price sold. For BUY IT NOW cues, the price sold is the price listed unless there is a line through the sale price. If so, the price sold was some value less than that shown in the crossed-off, buy-it-now price.
In some of the file are the selling prices of new cues (July 2024 to September 2024).
The files list about 8 months of eBay sales and you can get the same information from eBay now but only for the last three months.

Yeah the gen 1 Defy wasn't the best. They are on Gen 3 now. It slides sooooo much better now.
And discussion about it at https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/defy-shaft-and-a-little-science-question.546306/
My brother bought a Defy shaft. It’s really different. We took our shafts off and just dropped them tip first on the table. My Revo bounced up some inches. His Defy shaft just landed with a thud, no bounce at all. Is that a sign that it has better energy transfer or worse? The dealer sold him on the idea that it was more. I’m kind of thinking that means it has “shock absorption” designed into it which would transfer less power
It is also coming back as hollowed-out wooden shafts:Wood is coming back as shafts with wood on the outside and carbon fiber inside.

After a great deal of time and expense we have finally come up with a set of forum rules that may work. This new set of rules frees you up to buy and sell more items (including new), but before you buy or sell you need to understand the ground rules:
1) The entire forum is caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. Neither AZBilliards nor any of its owners, employees or agents makes any claims concerning the value or usefulness of any item offered herein for sale. AZBilliards accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the content of the threads on this forum or for any of the merchandise that is...

I have noticed that almost everyone plays pool on the peter principle, we reach our level of incompetence then all moves although they may seem to give immediate improvement soon turn out to be a lateral movement.
What do you do when you're not seeing results. I know for a fact that I put in more time than most on my fundamentals and practice and I'm frustrated that I'm not seeing quicker results. It often feels like the harder I go to work the worst my game suffers
You can tell how good a player will be quickly when they start out. In very rare cases do experienced players noticeably improve.
I met the New York state champion and related this story and of course he laughed and said if he only had a nickel for everytime he had heard the story. He said, "Ken you are a "B" shooter and that is all you will ever be. You can slightly improve but there some folks that are wired that will always have great coordination and you will never beat them." He continued, so enjoy shooting and dont burden to chase perfectio
If you want to play better, then you will need to do something different, than what you've done so far...
Ever notice that the pecking order at the pool room hardly ever changes (with the exception of up-and-coming youngsters, of course). The same guys that were beating me 30 years ago, can still spot me about the same thing today. The guys I was slightly better than are all still there and slightly under me. We all have our good days and bad days, but for most, once we hit that plateau, that becomes our new average. I peaked at around 18 years old.
Here is a Post from John McChesney circa 1999:
Here's something interesting we tried in 1991:
At an event we had 16 cues with the butt, joint and the ferrules covered
with masking tape...then numbered. No one could "see" if the cue was a
steel, plastic or wood joint (as in a Pete), nor detect by the style of
ferrule. We had 70 players...each hit balls with the cues throughout the
weekend.
Of the 70 players, nearly 55 liked the hit of two cues with
different numbers: When the two were exposed, they both were sneaky petes,
wood to wood joints, (one a Scruggs and the other a Huebler); both about 19
oz., both about 13 1/4mm and tended to be on the stiff side of "hit". By
the way, the 55 who liked the hit of these two cues: more than half thought
they would be steel jointed

Click on Google Drive link below to request 78-MB file listing all eBay used-cue sales between July 3 and October 1, 2024. The adobe-pdf file includes each sale including item name, selling price, shipping charge, and photo.
See also link of an html version of that file. Unfortunately, eBay keeps links active only for about three months after the date the cue was sold.
If the cue was sold “Best offer accepted’ and the price is green-lined out, item was sold for some amount less than the lined-out price.

See Google Drive link below for 78-MB file of all eBay used cue sales of the last 3 months. It is a file of an eBay listing of each sale, each item’s sale title, each item’s selling price, each item’s shipping charge, and each item’s photo from the sales of the last 3 months.
It would be nice to use that database to make a spreasheet of each used cue sale and each sale item: cue brand, sale price, shipping charge, total sale price, and sale date. Can you do that?
It would be even better to have a copy of each sale-item description: the seller’s sale-item title, seller’s...
