10.5 mm

They all hoping for a piece of the Chinese-8 ball table later down the line :ROFLMAO:

seems to be all kinds of diameters there. i guess depending on whether they started out playing pool or snooker. bingjie and yang fan have fat tips, probably around 13mm? that annoying myanmar dude too

10.5mm!? Are you boys all nuts?

What's the size difference between pool and snooker balls, snooker like 4.5mm smaller? And snooker players use 9.5 to 10mm generally? Billiard balls are 4.5mm bigger than pool balls. 3 cushion tips generally 11-12mm.
Why do pool players use such giant tips? It seems like it should fall in the middle of the snooker to billiard range, comparable to ball size. But there are people out there smacking these tiny balls with billy clubs for some reason.

I think you're misinterpreting your experience - it contradicts geometry.

Think of two tips with different widths but the same curvature. The smaller one is identical with the inner part of the larger one (with a small layer removed from the outer edge) - so unless you're trying to hit on the outermost edge of the tip, either tip will contact the CB on the same spot if moved the same distance from center ball.

Actually, a better version of this logic is to imagine having a larger tip and removing a thin outer layer to make it smaller. Would that affect your stroke accuracy?

Logic says no, since you’re using the same tip/stick.
