Identify this cue with "W" logo?

Well, how does it hit?

WTF? Then it's a viable player! Saying a cue hits similar to a Huebler is an attention getter. The conical taper is a negative, but it has a fat shaft that could be turned or a different shaft screwed on because it is a common joint.

Throw it on eBay and see what happens. I think you'll easily get your money back and then some. Make sure it's a good ad, good pictures, and detailed description. Make sure you mention the 14 pin joint, you know "just like most Balabushka, an other greats".

Real points/veneers. Real linen.

And...It hots like an old Huebler (YMMV of course, but I would put that in an eBay ad)

If you have an old spare "good" shaft with a pro taper that isn't particularly valuable but fits, you could package that with it for an Ebay sale. Or maybe a case. Maybe if it goes over X amount you can add such a thing. Lots of ways to entice bidders.

I would be curious to see what you could get with a well presented eBay auction.
BTW... Speaking of Hueblers... I have a 70's brass pin H1 in excellent condition (needs a new tip). What's something like that worth? I also have this Huebler Carom Cue (mid 80's)... I don't have any friends that play carom so I don't know what it's worth either? Any collector value in that?

I'll have to take pictures of the H1. I don't have any on my computer at the moment.

There was a carom cue for sale on eBay. I thought about buying it, but I thought they wanted too much. Not sure if it sold. I'll check later tonight.

I have a Huebler youth cue (short), a jump cue, and a jump/break. I would like to have a Huebler Carom in my collection. I have others including an H-14 that I consider my second player after my Joss.

Value? Not sure. But I would be interested in a conversation with you on that carom cue.

So the one on Ebay sold 4/26 for $225 + $20 shipping. I have the pics and listing saved in my files, but I went and found the link for you. Huebler values are strong but apparently not the billiard and jump cues. I have seen the Jump/Break cues have strong value. Of course, none of them touch anything close to the value of the Custom Shop cues.

I really love my H-14. I have the 29 inch shaft, plus two original 31 inch shafts, and the original Huebler joint protectors. To me, it is priceless. I have a number of other Hueblers. I am working on cataloging my collection. I started unpacking it Sunday morning and just now finished, four days later. I will start working on an inventory and proper photographs next.

If you want to talk about selling that carom cue, please message me, I would appreciate it.

These thrift/pawn shop miners digging for gold are getting old. How much of this shit do we have to fade? AZ needs a 'Penthouse or Outhouse' sub-forum for this stuff. ;)
This is so funny.

I recently snagged an "unbranded" cue on eBay for $15, open auction, nobody else bid.

I guess nobody knew what it was. It's a late 1960s National cue. I collect National and Gandy, so it was a nice find.

Me...sitting in the outhouse...

YES! I have plenty of room in my house. If I see something "interesting" and it's cheap, it doesn't hurt me to pick it up and try to find some knowledge about it. ALSO... how will I get "knowledge" if I don't learn from you guys??? It's not like we come here and try to shove something down your throat and try to get you to pay millions for something worth nothing. Generally, we're just looking for information and knowledge that you guys have. Take it easy on us please.

Look, one person voiced a complaint. No big deal. I don't expect @garczar really has that much of a problem with it either. He can be brusque, but so can I. He doesn't seem the type to hold grudges. I would say that this defending yourself is more annoying than asking the question and letting the thread die a natural death.

Garczar gave a wink on that post anyway, I think he was just kidding around.

Can't be thin skinned around here anyway.

If people get too brusque about the cues being posted I'll just post a nice Budweiser cue or something. ;)

I failed to notice the wink. Garczar is one of the good ones.

So true, gotta have thick skin to fade my action. I can give the needle and take it as well. It just kills me how lately it seems that AZ has become the de facto/go to place to identify cheap asian pawn shop find cues. Once in a while someone has a gem or interesting un-branded wand but way too often, for ME anyway, its nothing but a mass-produced Taiwan/China el cheapo depo special. I don't know what chopdoc sees in them but after i heard about people collecting twine and barbed-wire i guess anythings collectible. ;) Jus kiddin CD, your knowledge of all things Asian cue-wise is pretty fkng impressive. I know a little by doing research but brother you are the man.

You guys are so awesome at identifying "no name" cues though! It actually make me want to buy more of them! 😂😂😂

Tate and Jayman know a lot too. Tate because of the Adam connection to Palmer. Jayman because he is the Adam master.

You can't study old Adam cues without studying Taiwan cues. It's unavoidable.

And you can't understand the "good ones" without studying the crap ones.

I just was willing to buy some cheap so I have hands on knowledge. And I talk about it or answer more, and post pictures. I don't worry about what anyone thinks of it. It's just fun.

I also really enjoy researching stuff. A problem now is I had a head injury and also changed computers. My records got mixed up, and some lost, in addition to the fact that a lot of it was just in my head.

I have been reconstructing my files for 6 months, as well as adding and filling in gaps. Last Sunday I started unpacking my collection. It took almost 4 full days. I estimate 200 cues. Now the inventory, cataloging, and photographing project begins. I found 2 cues without their matching shafts. I have to go through my spare shafts, more than 2 dozen maybe 3, to find them. I have a small bundle of NOS OEM Brunswick Hoppe shafts, among other treasures.

It's been fun, now a lot of work. Numerous projects. I think the first cue I will send to Proficient is my Palmer Model J. Spectacular $150 find with two beautiful original shafts.

Oh, and when I started collecting I would buy whatever I wanted under $100. I was struggling with little money studying for my medical license boards. Then $200...$300...and on until I said I would buy anything I wanted under $1,000. And so it is. The eclectic collection.

So the adventure continues.

I miss Tate. I wish he was still here. Maybe he is elsewhere, but I'm not. I've said it before, I will say it now, and I will probably say it again, "AZB lost a lot when it lost Tate."

On the same subject, it is so good to have Chopdoc back.

What are they worth in good shape?
As little as I can get them for. The prices get ridiculous.

The McDermott Budweiser AB-01 cue is harder to find and came with a matching case.

This is an example, it sold for $260 8/28/2018. I should have bough it. But I really wanted one cheaper. I am a bargain hunter, but honestly, that was a fair price, especially considering condition.
