Just Google 'new WPBA Olhausen tables'. there's a few links. i saw one on a FB post that had a bunch of pics. nice looking table. Go to John Stich's FB page. He has the pics. He's working the tournament. Said they're all for sale after the event.I Googled it and Yahoo'd it. I don't see any specific pics. Lots of pics of the Champion Pro table. Can you provide a link?
And it's funny. When I took up this hobby in late 1998 I had just watched the Challenge of Champions from Uncasville, CT. It was Oliver Ortmann and Kung Fang Lee. They were playing on an Olhausen Champion Pro table. At that time it sort of became my dream table.
I went to Indianapolis to the Olhausen dealer to inquire about one. Their sales guy didn't even know who Oliver Ortmann was. So I left there and went over to the Brunswick dealer. Eventually bought the Gold Crown IV.

pockets appear to be made similar to Gabriels and Clash pool tables. interesting. I wonder if they hold a dozen balls like those?
agreed. I love my 8' olhausen except for the "rattle". It's extremely fast and I love the accufast rails. Very true.I assume that the infamous “ Olhausen pocket rattle” has been corrected. They sold tables with incorrect pocket angles for 40 years! Amazing how they just refused to correct that flaw and got away with it in the basically home table business.
Stuff like the exposed bolts are of zero concern to me. The pocket bolts look to be flush mount and should be no concern. I look at tables as equipment and not furniture. This table looks a lot like Diamond or Rasson offerings to me. If it plays good and is stout i really couldn't care less about little details like this. ProAm D's will never win a beauty contest either but they're built like tanks and play great. Good to see Oly uppin their game.Look kind of cheap and unfinished to me. Exposed shiny bolt heads sticking out on the legs is a very cheap and unthought out look to their construction methods. Also, while hard to tell by the picture, the side pockets appear to have screw heads sticking out holding the pockets down. Top rail plastic covering rolling over the edge looks cheap also. These are just my views though and could change if I were to see it in person. They are sponsoring WPBA extensively now though, and that is a good thing.
Wife and I were going to stop in and see some of the TMT as it's only about a 40 min drive from our summer place, but I don't know now as there is so much rain predicted, we are not sure when we will be going that way.
How would we know?I assume that the infamous “ Olhausen pocket rattle” has been corrected. They sold tables with incorrect pocket angles for 40 years! Amazing how they just refused to correct that flaw and got away with it in the basically home table business.
I’m moving back north and may be looking for a table of if I find the right living space to accommodate one.
Guaranteed that it will not be an Olhausen. I think that an older properly updated Brunswick would be my first choice - the Anniversary is just so classic - IMO - here is my older son’s—
Those Anniversary table are nice but I refuse to pay what they want for one around here if you can find one. There was a 10' Snooker table version for sale recently and they wanted 6500 for it.I’m moving back north and may be looking for a table of if I find the right living space to accommodate one.

And I've experienced this personally, especially when running an object ball down the rail. Wasn't a fan at all...How would we know?
Possible, but don’t hold your breathI assume that the infamous “ Olhausen pocket rattle” has been corrected. They sold tables with incorrect pocket angles for 40 years! Amazing how they just refused to correct that flaw and got away with it in the basically home table business.
Thanks - your post is quite informative as well- and very contributory to the site, I might add. I don't care for Olhausen tables- that was the point- and I think that I have made enough contributions to this site that some here may be interested in my future intentions- which include a possible home table again- but definitely not an Olhausen- sorry to disturb you- just block me , please!Very informative post. No attempt to de-rail the thread whatsoever. Brilliant contribution.
