I did not watch every single match featured by WPBA yt channel, so was pretty much astonished about the outcome of Kelly Fisher vs Bean Hung game. Alrighty then, DigitalPool... As if there were not enough minor and major drawbacks from ya already :poop:

And this is a World Championship, for Lord's sake!

I too think it might have been since it was a streamed match, the score was kept separately by the booth, using the stream software, and no tie to digital pool.

IDK why streamers do this. I think it's so they can get the format they like for the scoreboard. But the digital pool overlay is quite generic, and can fit into just about any streaming visual aesthetic. Plus, its more work for the streamer to keep up with the score.

IMO, a streamed match should still have the iPad at the table for the player's to keep their own score, even if for some reason the streamer wants to push the score button themselves on the streaming software.

I just went to the stream, the players def did not have an iPad. After a rack was won, they both sat right down while the ref racked. No place for the players to keep score.

This was a TD mistake, not a player mistake.

Also of note, when you hover over the score in the player's list, it says "null" instead of "0" for Kelly's match, but for Chezka's match it says 0. This may mean the TD advanced Fisher without an actual score, which would mean it would not affect FargoRatings. This is my guess, I'm not certain.

I bet if you are an official scoring (bracket) service suppplier and you are a good one, you carefully check whether the entered scores are correct and up-to-date.
Right here, seems nobody gives a damn. Oh well. This is fine.

FargoRate is another probable issue you mention here. I suppose there are enough events which Mike Page tends to process himself (not the TDs sending in the results). How on Earth is he going to know if the scoreline is real?! That is very sad in reality.

i'm thinking an erratic TD assistent or something.. in the thrilling seoa v zlateva in that same round, digitalpool site put seoa through to the next round before they had even broken off in hill-hill game.. way to spoil the match i thought, until zlateva won.

WTF??? Can the drama. Shit happens, no need to read off-the-air nefarious bs into this.

When I'm using SportCam to stream cellphone matches, I leave a tablet with the players, or text them to the link so they can update the scores themselves. As you pointed out, it was the fault of the streamer for not checking the tournament in Digital Pool to confirm the score.

I agree with that poster and it isn't a matter drama or anything other than quality control.

The presenters are doing a lot of work and not ensuring the count is right?
