Searing Cue

Actually, I just tried to answer your question what makes Searing cues special.
Hercek, having lineage to Spain is of course great.
Petersen is actually my favorite maker of all time.
I don't play much anymore.
I just make sticks.

when it comes to consistency of play your cues don't take a back seat to anyone

shaft wood and taper is also top shelf

the tone lets you know when you strike the qball "pure"

it's also obvious you invest time and don't spare a dime when sourcing wood, collar material, ferrules, etc

keep up the good work!!

PS---this is an unpaid public service message

The cue is gone.

I would just encourage the OP to move on. I don't know how much the cue is worth but if it went on for 4 years then its not in his possession anymore and Searing can use this excuse. We forget a lot of things. A friend let me borrow his stuff and its been years. He told me he basically forgot and its mine now. I have also left stuff at a friends house because they needed to use the tool to fix their car. It is theirs now.

The cue? It is Searing's now or whoever may have it.

To be fair to Searing he may have thought the guy forgot and gave it to him.
You sure make up a lot of ignorant shit

Trust me I thought about it, and would love to let the world know.
If was one of our fellow pool players, he would have said, how can I help.
I know for sure I would have.
I've gotten a few cues back for people and there's no chance I would charge somebody. Sure wish we knew who it was

I would ask Dennis about the cue, he’s pretty active on Facebook. I sent him a msg on a quote for an extension. He seem to be quite talkative.

In my opinion a lot of these guys don't have a long list of people waiting for cues. They have sugar daddies.

Basically there is one guy that will order 5-10 cues and he immediately gets bumped to the very top. So over the course of a few years, however long these cue builders finish the order, will make for one guy.

5-10 cues isn't exactly easy to make so it will cause a waiting list. In the mean time this sugar daddy is receiving cues that are finished one by one. He sells it and claims there is a super long waiting list. No shit! You ordered 10 cues. So he sells them off or keeps them. It's an artificial market inflated by their sugar daddy.

Now the same can be done for dealers as well. Exclusive to dealers.

So when people say there is a waiting list. There isn't one. There may be one from their sugar daddy.

I know a big name maker and I have a suspicion they operate like this. This company has a guy that speaks on behalf of the company but can't help it but show off his latest cues from them, yet there is a supposed waiting list. His ego got in the way and he started dropping clues like how he helps design cues, how complicated his cues are etc...etc...
I've noticed this pattern on websites as well. I seem to see everywhere, this cue maker has a 2 year wait. get it from me now no wait. similar discription on the next website, and then the next.

Those 1k, 2k or 5k deposits go towards being on a “waitlist” and perfectly legal but very unethical. People will not get it back. There are big companies accepting non-refundable deposits for goods.

Cue builders can work this way too and there is nothing anyone can do. If he promises and starts making cues for people there is no way to say what is an acceptable time frame. For all we know he can say his cues take 4 years to make. 10 years to make or 20 years to make.

Searing is actually very business savvy if you ask me. If he shows good intention and good faith to making a cue and it takes 20 years to make them there is nothing illegal about this.
Except he didn't say it was going to take 20 years troll man. He stated considerably shorter time frames.

I’ve spoken about this many many times before on another site and cue collectors frowned on the notion that I call out a lot of shady cue builders. For one they are doing contract work. They are no different then a guy building you a patio or pool. They need to have a contractor’s license for work over X amount of dollars. Check your local laws.

What they are doing is already illegal in some states.

I’ve said it here the pool industry is filled with scumbags and bozos. They may not show it at work or home but eventually it comes out and always seem to involve pool or at a pool room. Some hide it better than others but your worst will always be seen at pool rooms or some pool related thing.
Contract work has ZERO to do with a contractors license.

A contractors license is needed for INSTALLERS

If your a cabinet maker and build a person 100k dollars worth of cabinets, but the installation is done by someone else….you do not need a contractors license but that installer will.

Furniture makers, cue makers, instrument makers like luthiers etc etc etc HAVE ZERO LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO HAVE A CL IN ALL 50 STATES.

It appears that my comments have caused some laughter and disapproval? I had zero clue about this nonsense with Searing. For that I apologize. Any more laugh emojis and there will be repercussions!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Laugh and world laughs with you....cry and you cry alone. GoldCrown>>>> crys alone...I'm GoldCrown... Not MiseryCrown ...no company needed..

I sent Cue to Dennis a few years ago and traded it off with a friend of Dennis because he would never answer my calls or emails you as will proud to get a hold of him so I was very unhappy with him

And he still hasn’t got the cue back
That’s why when I wanted to do my extension for my searing, he asked for the cue. I was quite scare of doing so. Then the cue has been closet Queen since.
