Are there any well-documented—not just anecdotal—instances of a player with a 500+ Fargo rating making a jump to 600 or beyond within a year under professional coaching?

Over the years, I’ve committed significant time and resources to coaching and put in countless hours of practice, yet my overall progress has been modest. One coach helped me improve my alignment, which was a noticeable step forward, and my current coach addressed issues with my vision center—another meaningful improvement. Still, after two years, I doubt I’ve broken past 550. Age and vision challenges likely play a role. While I’ve heard stories of major breakthroughs, I’ve yet to come across concrete evidence to support those claims.

Well quit your real job, live in Pool Room 12 Hour plus a day, it is your new job. Play & practice Pool more, should improve as your devoting more time to Pool.

Minus are there is opportunity go liver off Ramen Noodles, Sleep in Car, not have money, and if you make it big, your still struggling.

What is so important about being a Fargo 600? You got a bet to win, no other reason except personal gratification.

,,, countless hours of practice, yet my overall progress has been modest. ....
I think there have been such increases of 100 FR points in a year, but they were by someone who also went up 100 the previous year.

If someone has been at 500 for ten years the chance of moving to 600, without 8 to 10 hours of useful practice five days a week is unlikely. It's not going to be a matter of changing their grip a little. Probably some major habitual flaws will have to be corrected.
