World Pool Championships 2025, July 21-26, Jeddah

Does anyone know the name of the ref for SVB vs Sotero TV match? I never seen it mentioned by Sky Sports production (or even the pundits, though I haven't seen each and every TV match, so they could tell it once or twice but I missed that)
That's Ben, the "Pool Ref." He referees pro cuesports for events such as Mosconi Cup, Reyes Cup, Masters, European, UK and US Open. He's also can play some.

Marcel Eckert from Germany refs snooker and pool, but I've never seen him pick up a cue like Ben. :)

A few pool peeps on Facebook couldn't find the brackets on the WNTlivescores.com website. If you go to the Matches page, look at the bottom right corner where the red thinigie is.

After you click the red thingie, then you can see the brackets.

I complained about the rebroadcast of the Table 1 match instead of showing the live SVB match. Here is their response:

is it possible that someone is reading this thread and they noticed the “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” reference? (post #127)

But will you take out the cartridge, blow on it and put it back in?

well, at least the suggested solution shows they're proper IT support.

Multiple examples of people getting lost about this only exaggerate MR could have done much much better in this department.
(When they first introduced their scoring service they never even bothered to explain this "lil red dot" thing anywhere)

Good job Manas!
I was rooting for his counterpart, Ferrer. He was reported to have beaten AJ at some event recently, Vietnam or something over there. Played as good as Manas, and the final stats numbers are pretty much even. The only part which differs, and not in favor of the defeated (Alex) is balls missed. Something like 6 to 10.

Ruiz needs a personality implant.

That might be his official reason, but maybe he has some moral qualms about interacting with the Saudis. They murdered and dismembered the Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was critical of the Saudi government, and who was essentially a US citizen. If so, good for Skyler.
a Washington post journalist? heavens no. have you heard of Gary Webb?

You think the guy who has worn a mullet for the last 8 years gives a flying hoot about that?
