Really strange match choices today on the stream. Filler and Lechner, banished to an outer table, carry a total Fargo of 1,674, and Max tends to play Josh very tough, as he did in a double hill loss in Stage 2 of the International 9ball in November, which I believe was their last meeting. By comparison, Gorst/Souto is 1,645. Biado/Melling is 1,632. Manas/Fortunski is 1,599. Yapp/Ignacio, another amazing matchup, carries 1,641 and is also on an outer table.Very surprised Filler vs Lechner is not on a table being broadcasted.
I don't think Biado vs Melling and AJ Manas vs Fortunski are better matches.
Filler is box-office, Matchroom seem to be treating him like a nobody.
If form holds and Josh plays Fedor in the next round, Matchroom cannot put it on Table 1 and still play fair, as Gorst will have just played on that table and will have already played two matches on it. Unless Matchroom is trying to set Filler up for failure, they appear to have chosen, for the TV table, Gorst/Souto over Gorst/Filler, yet another in a long sequence of bizarre stream match choices this week.
