Caspers got me feeling the nerves
The billiards scene worldwide is awesome, connected and sometimes complicated.I wish Yates would quit stammering on about snooker, as if the snooker scene in Iran has anything to do with the pool scene in the rest of the middle east.
How in the heck does someone from Iraq get so good at pool? Seriously?
Crazy Frank (RIP) got kicked out of a pool room because they kept finding needles in the rails. Apparently, they are pretty invisible. Frank would put them in by holding the rail while pretending to get down to view the balls. The needle would be in between his fingers. I guess it made rails bank very weird / unpredictably. If you know the area where those needles are, that could be a huge advantage playing in a close game.Yes. I've heard of the technique used at one pocket but with needles stuck into the rubber. So far as I know, I've never seen it actually happen.
This is by far the most likely reason for any perceived weird cue ball action.104F but feels like 102F? Ouch.
19% humidity. Maybe these people complaining about the waxers just aren't used to playing in such a dry climate?

I'm a fan (of Duong).
They might not be watching the same feed at the exact moment. Or Yates might be watching snooker matches on his phone, who knows? The billiards scene worldwide is awesome, connected and sometimes complicated.
I think we should be more concerned when the cameras panned to Daryl Peach in the audience and Yates said nothing. Neither did Scott Frost. I can understand why the former didn't know and the latter didn't click - but I think we should be all for commentators talking about what they know about, whether that's snooker or any other cue sport.
Ameer Ali happened, that's what!man what happened to raga this match
Yup, Ameer is playing out of his mind. Raga missed opportunities, but let's not take anything away from how well Ameer is playing. Rock solid.Ameer Ali happened, that's what!
tbf, as we say where I was born, Ameer Ali is probably very good at pool partly because he was very good at snooker. The fact that he might be the best pool player on the planet shouldn't be confused with how difficult it is for snooker players to become good at pool.If that were the case every Tom, Dick, and Harry snooker player would be stealing every major pool tournament in existence. Not true, they go out in early rounds. Snooker does not translate to pool at the highest levels.
Yep. He's been the most impressive.Ameer Ali happened, that's what!
