Snooker from Saudi Arabia

As the "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC was played, Neil Robertson joins the hosts at the winner's circle to lift the Battle of the Baize trophy. He is now ranked No. 3 in the world with this title. It was a thrilling decider and could have gone either way. I enjoyed this Battle of the Baize a lot.

Neil wins $677,760 (£500,000), and don't feel so sorry for Ronnie as the bride's maid. He pockets $515,090 (£380,000) because of the two maximums he made, giving him an additional $243,990 (£180,000), though I know he's much rather have the title.

That's Neil's coach, Joe Perry, with him in the winner's circle.

not bad cash for runner-up.. probably a record that too.

joe perry was a quality player and longtime practice partner / roommate of neil. didn't know he became a coach. makes sense because he's pretty smart and analytical

Ooh, I spelled his name wrong. I had "John Perry." I will edit. You are a smart cookie! :)

Well Ronnie is the goat for sure but you have to give credit to Neil how well he held his composure in the last two frames, especially the penultimate frame break which started from a difficult red in the middle and the whole clearance was amazing!

And you could tell by his emotions how much it meant for him. Ronnie was his usual cool himself, maybe even a bit more happy than usually. It seems he’s enjoying the game and life more now and is very relaxed.

with a net worth of 25 million USD life cant be all bad
but money doesnt buy happiness
(i know he has demons which he seems to have conquered)

But when a snooker player goes into the pack of reds, it's all about luck.
It's like poker. It's a game of skill with aspects of luck. The better the control of the white the better the odds. 🤷‍♂️ simple. The commentators explained where the pack should be hit for the best chance at good results. The hit precision speed and spin makes for better numbers in the percentage records. Ronnie was putting whitey on a grain of rice. Every Shot! The delicate work picking reds in tight quarters in one run out was uh, well a work of Art. 🤷‍♂️
