The biggest problem is the end mass which will create massive deflection unless it is sleeved instead of solid.

They are sleeved, not solid and sleeving them reduces the end mass and the weight.

And the shafts rarely are larger than 9mm in the pros. Not much end mass to worry about.

That’s true, but the OP is talking about a 13mm shaft to my knowledge, not 9mm.

That’s true, but the OP is talking about a 13mm shaft to my knowledge, not 9mm.

He's only spoke to me on the phone, it's a playing cue so probably 12-13mm. I'll tell him about the snapshot, but try to steer him clear of wanting to do it.

With a siffer shaft than pool, and it's still a heavier ferrule compared to other options.

The whole world around performance shafts and ferrules we have built in pool is very different from the snooker world.

We don't count chevrons on conical tapered ash shafts on one piece cues.

That’s certainly the right way to go my friend, if he doesn’t listen that’s on him it’s his pool game.
