Accu-Stats Realtime Live Streaming?

Just thought of this "innovation" that Mike Howerton of AZBilliards can implement and offer to the spectators at Accu-Stats covered pool events.

Accu-Stats does offer online live streaming. But it has a significant actual time delay probably on the order of 15+ seconds. I am thinking that if Accu-Stats could somehow come up with a system that can pretty much eliminate this time delay for the venue spectators, the match commentary could be made available in realtime.
Create a bluetooth smartphone app so spectators can access and listen to the live Accu-Stats professional commentary in realtime on headphones, earbuds or hearing aids, etc. I think this could make a huge improvement in spectator involvement with the sport.

What do you think, Mr. Howerton?

If I am understanding what you are thinking of, this is something that Pat has offered at the International and Derby City Classic for a while. Spectators can purchase headphones for a day that allow them to listen to the commentary as it's going on.

It is so tough these days to come up with an original idea.
I tried.
Thanks for the info.
Got a link where I can get the particulars?

The delay is due to the internet.

On-site, pat offers for rent headsets to the people in the audience. They work (I think) with RF technology so there is zero delay. I rarely see people rent them, maybe 5 or so.

I am curious about something regarding Accu-Stats.

Since they are once again selling DVDs why are there so many matches on YouTube that are not available on DVD?

When Pat started selling DVDs, not all of the matches were converted to that format. The oldest matches are stored on SuperVHS tape and I have been getting those converted to digital format. I am posting these converted matches to YouTube, and there will be some that were never converted to DVD.

That Jack Colavita / Mike Lebron match that I posted the other day isn't listed in any records that I have from Pat. I have no idea when it was taped.

If you are looking for matches from a specific player, drop me a note or give me a call and I will check these converted SuperVHS tapes to see what I have. I have about 300 of the old SuperVHS tapes converted and I get another batch about every two weeks.

I can burn those matches to DVD, but they just won't have the intro menu.

My goal is to eventually have every Accu-Stats match on YouTube.

Ok azhousepro! Thanks for the info.

I'll go through the list on your Accu-Stats website and send you some info about matches I'd like to have on DVD.

Give me a while though. Not sure when I can get through them all.

No problem. Just let me know. I will try to put together a list of the matches that are already digitized so you have something as a reference.
