Practice what I Preach

"The Beat of Her Drum" he left out Own. The news about Portland falls into my wheelhouse (a baseball term). That seems so timely. 👍 Here Come the Judge.
Ah, the balance beam is a visualization in my pre shot dance that some call Routine.
The flavor oh the day is one handed phenolic tip with chalk. Jacked up of course.
3 ball with left vs right (of course).
Gives me a good look er uh opportunity to break it down. Er uh? Find the first thing first? Watching the cue tip to ball interaction can be entertaining and enlightening. Try it. 🤷‍♂️ What could hurt.
"If you don't like it, I'll take it out." 🤔 seems like a lie detector overload.

Oh yeah, play it as a rotation game. With hand change on a miss. Shooting them in numerical order.
A Break and Run score of 4 is worth a 🏆.
Better get back to beating my own drum er uh hand, with the other hand? Never mind......

Synchronicity Oh the day is found in Mike Masey Interview I found here.

One handed? Oh wow.

I just came upon an interesting article.
The article said:
"Research has linked self-directed speech to everything from higher focus to improved task performance. It’s like giving your mind a coach, a mentor, and a motivator all rolled into one—except it’s you."
Reminds me of my self to self talk as I racked the balls. It was key in gaining a focus or refocus on solving the problem one step at a time. One ball at a time is a doable thing when 6 racks behind. My inner coach started with, "Don't worry about looking helpless, you've already done That."

Self talk is as nonsensical as the cue ball last theory. The truth is talk of any sort in your head, that little inner voice is your conscious mind being present. To really play your best, the goal is the removal of the conscious mind from the equation. It doesn’t belong, nor has any use near a pool table.

as nonsensical as the cue ball last theory
It's not a theory it's a reality.
🤷‍♂️
The evidence is becoming overwhelming. The list of player that look at the white as they strike it is substantial.
The Experiments thread chronically identifies players that do look at whitey last.

You know, this sounds like all so much blather that is reminiscent of “experts say”.
Yet no one ever identifies the experts

Here's a few.
Stephen Hendry
Ronnie O'sullivan
Mark Williams
John Higgins
Jason Shaw
Rodney Morris
Oscar Dominguez
Certain players may prefer it, that’s not exactly a scientific consensus anymore than a group of players liking a particular tip makes it the best and only tip to use, it’s just what that group prefers.

The thread Experiments provides in depth coverage of the method. https://forums.azbilliards.com/thre...e-cueball-while-delivering-the-stroke.304747/
Perhaps to you it does. If it works for you, then great, I’m happy for you. Perhaps I should say that my dissension stems from the propagation that a mere theory is being disseminated as an irrefutable fact based upon “opinion's” in a thread. Continue you doing you for another 37 pages as you’ve done here.

fact based upon “opinion's
That is inaccurate. The facts are based on performance. The fact that you have come into this thread to express your opinion is a Tell. 🤷‍♂️
I have only known one person that went by Frosty. That was in the great northwet. Well I see Bet something under your moniker. Hmmm the Frosty I knew playing in small tournaments never beat me. Is that you? Frosty the Snowman always had recreational money. It's my opinion that he probably sold recreational drugs. That's just an educated guess, though. 🤷‍♂️ Astute observation is of great value when it comes to survival.
The survival of this thread for 37 pages proves only that mgmt allows it. The validity and or value of the facts is up to the reader. Ooops another flashback. Hope i remember the limerick.

Having the numbers is a beginning. Knowing the significance of each in an equation can lead to hasty approximation.
My morning practice of watching the cue tip to ball interaction is educational and entertaining. Well adding in the other, ( not weaker any more) hand has provided giggles along the way. Self entertainment is a skill. 😉

Uh oh my morning practice went well. It is a fact that when "I have My mind right" it just works.
When I feel good about who I am and what I am doing......I get Lucky.
Efren gets Lucky a lot.

Ronnie is not cb last. Slow down some video and actually watch it. When he pulls the trigger he's on the ob. A lot of players that 'think' they're cb last are not when you really slow it down. Why is this so important to you? You've been slinging this crap for what, 10+ yrs?? If you like it fine but stop trying to convince the rest of us its a better method because its not.

Why is this so important to you?
Oh dear thanks for the chuckle. I should have said, "thank you for your input."
My observation of Ronnie rarely provided a definitive look. So I have always tempered "my opinion ".
I have the words from Ronnie's mouth, "it could be either ", is how I recall his answer when asked, "which ball last?"
I have statement of Stephen Hendry and Coach Chris Henry that Ronnie looks at cueball last.
Then there's you amateur analysis of video evidence. 🤔 who should I believe? You or my lying eyes. 🤷‍♂️
You have assumed that it is important to me.
You should know what assume means. Right?

Well, i have to say i like most of his posts. Dont agree on the CB last either.
We don really know how the brain works. If i can play pool without my -6.20glasses, there must be more than just the eye. And his post make me think about things in alternate way.🖖
