You don’t want to beat this guy… 😂

I remember Larry liscotti telling a story don't know if it was true. He was playing a guy and at a point the guy pulled a gun and shot the balls off the table.
I had a guy pull a knife on me once in a bar, and fortunately I was young and faster than him and made it out the door and he never caught me. I didn't come back and get my car till the place was closed and nobody else around.

If this is in Israel everyone should consider they are almost surrounded by terrorist and have a terrorist organization within their borders, Hamas.

I fully support anyone in that nation carrying by the existing laws. It baffles me how they are one of the happiest nations on earth. Under death threats constantly and yet they carry on with their lives as if everything is just fine..

That kind of faith and resolve is darn special in my book. They are blessed that Trump was elected by the good people of America!

The mods really need to do a better job of keeping this type of post off the main forum. It doesn’t matter if I, or anyone else, agrees or disagrees with your political opinions. They don’t belong here. NPR is there for a reason.

I don't know about you, but if I go into a place where I see people carrying weapons like this I'm heading for the exit. Why do I want to hang around anywhere where there may be a shootout. Stray bullets kill!

I understand the threat the people of Israel face every day, but I won't be visiting there anytime soon, and I'm jewish.

I've been in enough poolrooms in my life where people are carrying, especially in the Philippine action rooms! I had outlaws/gangsters carrying in my last poolroom in Inglewood, CA. It was considered neutral territory in the hood. Never had a problem, thank God. Just mind your manners and you'll be all right.

No chance of that happening, not everyone can carry a rifle in Israel, only trained soldiers. And they are never loaded, or at least have a lock in the chamber. Civilians can only carry hand guns but only if they have a permit that is issued only in special conditions.

By reading some of the stories here (not just this thread) I can say that the pool room in Israel are probably the safest rooms in the world... They are family friendly and it's not uncommon to see parents come in with their kids for an afternoon activity.

If guns is what stopping you from visiting then it's a big loss for you.

in that country they are not allowed to carry with one in the chamber. bad rule but what it is.
Safety first
I wish we didn't need them at all

and those that call a magazine a clip do not know much about guns.
Call it a language issue
I wish I knew nothing about guns, I had to carry for 3 years and while doing reserve duty a few times, never touched one besides that and don't want to.
I prefer to carry a camera or a pool cue.

It ain't the guns stopping me. It's the enemy at their doorstep, always looking for ways to kill jews. Too much hatred over there. We've got enough right here now.

One more thing, the fallacy in your above statement. If there is no chance of that happening, why are they all strapped up? Is it just for show?
P.S. The banks in the Philippines are also very safe places, and every one of them have at least two security guards both inside and outside. Usually one with a pump shotgun and one with an AK. Over here they don't mess around with would be bank robbers. In all the years I've been coming here there have only been a couple of attempted bank robberies, both times by bands/groups of outlaws. Both times there were massive shoot outs with killings on both sides, and the robberies failed.
