I don't understand. Buyers have to pay tax and sellers get hit with large fees. At the end the buyer pays $1700 but the seller only nets like $1300. When the buyer could have just come to AZBilliards and paid $1300. So why would you buy from eBay when you can just shop AZB?!?!

I sell my cues very quickly here- usually within a few days - because I discount from all the e bay fees and problems to offer a realistic cue price that WILL sell quickly.
Too many sellers here live in dreamland IMO.
I have been a part time picker / seller of many categories of items including cues for 30+ years - My motto is always price to sell quick with smaller margins. I always prefer cash over stale listings.
E bay’s one advantage is their HUGE market!

This was kind of my point. Ebay has a forum section on AZB. eBay has placed market ads in Facebook market place and pretty much every other selling platform. Why can't AZB get bigger, we already know it can be cheaper than eBay.

At the very least. Kick eBay off AZB please.

The simple answer is I find some hidden gems on eBay. I also buy weird old cues that could be turn into something else. For instance. the last cue I bought was a house cue with butterflies. I paid ~$40. I'm going to have that made into a custom similar to a Titleist conversion.

your 5 cent "price drops" will keep people looking at other places to buy

I have not bought many cues in my life from a retail dealer either online or brick and mortar. If I did , just like a car , once you have it out of retail it will most likely lose value- unless the item becomes a rarity desired by collectors or the car model or a particular cue maker becomes very highly sought after with few available.
Last week I bought the GB model SLE-3 which retails for about $2300 for only $575 on this site - cue is like new- there are deals for those that wait and know.

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR wider selection on Ebay for one thing. Why do you care what other sellers do? None of your business how/where they sell. Also a lot of AZ sellers seem to think their shit is made of solid gold. Some of the prices are a joke.

There are diamonds in the rough on eBay - I’ve come up on some crazy deals there from people who have never heard of AZB. I’ve also gotten some absolute dogs on there though, lol. You can often expect at least one shaft you get from whatever the cue is on eBay to be warped, no matter what it is.

The truth is the deals are everywhere you look between here, eBay, and the FB groups. Be selective, be fair, don’t be desperate. Don’t lowball and price yourself out or try to hustle. People don’t appreciate being treated like they’re stupid.
