The 9-Ball prizes are shown by Digital Pool now, so here they are (in $thousands):

seems like a probable explanation. he was really off, missing some easy shots by a ball width.
Billy, I have learned a TON from you, Grady, Danny, and Buddy over the years. My rant was aimed mostly at the ref (and the players), who have NO excuses for a) not knowing the rules; and b) not seeing what is happening on the table.
I really appreciate everything that Pat Fleming has done for pool over the years, and I have supported AccuStats.

Weak isn't the right word. He is moody as hell. I was sitting there at his table for about 90 minutes before the scheduled start with Atencio. Of course they had the stupid amateur and kid matches taking up tables and there weren't enough tables for the pros to come in and get full practice time. The half of the room on one side of the Arena now had a wall up and there was no play over there. Maybe that is where the banquet dinner will be? As a spectator coming to watch Pros I have zero interest in watching any of those. As far as I saw he didn't warm up at all. He was sitting over at the Styer table for a hour or more. Atencio was at a back table practicing that whole time. Maybe SVB didn't need it or did his work earlier in the day buy maybe it would help his mindset, who knows. They did zero to speed up the amateur matches taking up the SVB/Atencio table nor the one next to it that Grabe/FSR were going to be on. That Grabe table amateur match was so bad I believe it was after 4:45 schedule round start they were still going at 4-4 and apparently the match was stopped and they had to LAG for the win. Grabe was standing over at another table dying laughing. LMAO.

There was a shot the other night where the player was snookered. He was kicking at a ball that was right next to another ball. It looked like he made a bad hit but nothing was said.
That is neither here nor there now. The point is, the ref was 20 feet away when the shot was made. He should have been right over the shot to see the hit. It was obvious it could be a close call.
It would seem the refs are there just to rack the balls. They don't need to know all the possible rules that could come up, that is the job of the head ref and anything can be clarified.
I left this morning and am happily sitting in my recliner watching the stream. I got put out in the 8th round/tied for 15th yesterday. Rhys Chen gave me my first loss in the 6th? round. He’s on the TV table now playing in the finals.
I wish I had checked in here to see who else was present. I was too busy playing and watching my buddies play.
This tournament was ran perfectly.

When they go over the rules at the player's meeting do they mention that buy backs will get "suspended", eventually?
The Digital Pool website is a complete crock. It shows matches that never took place, and once a match is completed from the Live Scores page, the result disappears completely. I'm still trying to find out the Styer-Atencio score. It was 9-8 Atencio and then it just went blank.

Click on "Viewer". It shows 10-8. They roll those matches off the "live" page a little too quickly once they are done.
