Need help ID'ing this cue that looked too interesting to pass on?

Kinda looks like a marketing model for a pearl butt ring maker, but it is solid, and straight with quality materials and features. IMG_2592.jpegIMG_2593.jpegIMG_2594.jpegIMG_2595.jpegIMG_2596.jpegIMG_2597.jpegIMG_2598.jpegIMG_2599.jpeg

Looks like it may be an A.E. Schmidt.

The butt cap, butt cap screw, pin, and wrap all look like the ones they used in the late 60s and early 70s.

They were fond of using pearlescent, too.

Thanks to all for the information. Seems like maybe I made a good decision on this one. I probably won't do much except replace the tip and find a new butt bumper. Maybe i'll do a re-wrap if I can't get this one looking and feeling less cruddy.

I'm thinking an early Adams from the late 70's.

Pretty sure I saw these way back then.

AE Schmidt is getting a lot of love on AZB recently. I hope the Schmidt’s know this.
I will tell Fred.

He is the great-great grandson and a friend of mine.

He owns a Schmidt business in Columbia, MO.

After reading Lou Figueroa response I came up with this 2012 AZB post with the same Adam cue except the pointed joint pin.

Found this as well. Has steel joint collar but no pointed pin or rosewood butt.
