Dominguez vs Guama race to 50 for 80+ per side

I think the situation that is not being looked at is from a side better point of view. Imagine you had $5k on Guama and were watching from some remote location. The match ends and you are ready to send your $5k, then word gets out that Oscar modified the table prior to the match and didn't notify Guama. You still gonna send the $5k or feel like someone tried shenanigans with the match?
It's clear that you don't understand the meaning of modified. The original spec of the table is the standard, returning the table to original spec(every table in the world) is not modifying it.

One more crybaby I'd never gamble with. Congrats

Modifications? This place is full of losers

Congrats
You take exception to that choice of words? He tightened the rail bolts? Right? I’m not saying he cheated or saying he made the table gaffe. He probably made it play perfect and true as anyone would want. But I’m assuming that required applying tools (maybe a socket wrench) to the table. I just imagine even doing that warrants the courtesy to your opponent directly “Oh hey man, this rail was loose. I tightened it up the rail bolts. If you wanna check it out, it’s playing good.”

Crazy you’d call people losers for thinking that way.

what would some say if guama secretly adjusted the table after oscar did and made it back out of wack so he could win.

would they now say guama won fair and square. of course not. they would call him a cheat. things have to work both ways in a bet.
I've played in rooms and bars all over the country. Dead rails, wet chalk, shitty tips etc.

You may be the exception, I saw who it was after I responded. Sorry for that.

A table should play how it was designed, if you tell me we're playing on a GC 1V, I'd(and everybody else would expect it to play as designed by the factory) everybody else is the cheater.

Anyway, I respect your opinion way more often than not

I've played on a gaff 10 ft 1pocket table that the owner of the table would play much better players and win. Banking on it to make balls was just not happening!! I also recall the story from Playing off the Rail about the table down South near a truck stop or something with dozens more diamonds on it that the guy used to beat Tony if it's even true lol!! Even if the rails are decent they will still have dead spots!!
Quite unlikely that a newish Diamond table at Brass Tap would have loose not to mention missing rail bolts? Sounds to me it’s likely someone doctored the table before Oscar discovered it.

Even if he tightened the loose bolts but didn’t replace the missing ones (as confirmed on his fb page) the cushions still would not have played the way they are supposed to play.

home table means a lot if the game is remotely close. and if gaffed as some are, it helps immensely and can make the worst player a favorite.

he may still lose of course.

and if that table is changed or so called fixed to the others specs or how he prefers it, then all hope is gone for the hometown hero.
especially so, if he doesn't know it happened.
How long should it take the hometown hero to figure out the table was fixed? He won 10 grand on it the night before. In fact he played the whole match against Oscar without thinking anything of it. It was days later when he over heard people talking about it.

Just as a general comment:

Neither player should fook with the table before a match. And in this case it's worth noting as good a table mechanic as OD is he can torque those babies down to play any way he likes.

Lou Figueroa
just sayin'

I agree that if OD did discover loose rail bolts the day before their match, he should have had the courtesy to inform his opponent of his desire to tighten them. At that point, a decision could then be agreed on whether or not they could be tightened, and if so, it should be done by someone other than either of the 2 players.

You mean play correctly? Don't be a dunce, you're way too smart and have been around long enough to know better.

🤦‍♂️ F me, this place is filled with cheating degenerate losers. I hope everyone of you gets cheated out of your $125 life's savings.

Im having a hard time not making a comeback and robbing all of you because you all are cheating scumbags

I would be curious from all this what Oscar or Ernesto would think of how much of an advantage it is being an 800+ Fargo table mechanic on top of being an 800ish player in general. Also would be curious on what they say about if they "adjust" the table how they want it how many fargo point difference would that create? If the table hadn't been set up properly or it was altered for me it'd be up to the owner of the table on what to do and you'd want a "neutral" mechanic to do any adjustments to avoid any of the potential nonsense that could arise.

Are you insane? Serious question

Ernesto is indeed an 800+ table mechanic as well as still a formidable player in his 70s. Oscar however is a professional pool player and a successful room owner. Many years ago as a teen he and his brother helped their Dad out for a few years. He will be the first to admit the work was way too hard so he concentrated on his game. Even the tables in Oscar’s Sacramento Hard Times pool room are maintained by his Dad.

Sheldon neglected to include Carl's side of the disagreement

Carl bolm is a cheating C#×+. Fuc* that low life. I have no dog in this fight but he's a punk.

Carl being a scummy gaffed up table cheat is calling somebody else a cheat 🤣 he should be laughed out of every pool hall in the world
Carl runs around trying to flaunt his money as an Apa 5 or 6. The ONLY reason he gets any attention is because he has some $, and people seem to like to watch high $ matches, even when it's 2 APA 5's.
