overall this is such a bad look, having knowledge of loose bolts / gaffy rails as a spot. not the prettiest side of american pool.

There is a similar gaff table in Oscar's pool hall. Very tight pockets and every rail banks different.

Oscar has played on it many times for big $$$ amounts.

It's been that way for years but Oscar never bothered to fix it like he did with Guama's table.

I wonder why.

he agreed to play guama on the gaffed or out of wack table. and that is why guama accepted the bet . that gave him a chance in his own mind.

then od changed the table for who knows what conditions. some just assumed to make it play normally who knows.

so changing the table is flat out wrong and not telling specifically the person you are betting with is a form of cheating.

as long as the info here is what has happened as presented.

anyone that doesnt understand or cant see that will never win any bets in life or even any arguments about things as they cannot fathom simple logic. so think about it while you supersize your mcdonalds order. or ask your next customer if he would like to.

I don’t have any knowledge of how the table got in the condition it got in.

From the discussion here it would seem the table was just gaffey and one guy said he’d play just about anyone on it. And, if what’s been posted is true, the proffer was to play on the gaffey table. Then OD “tinkered” with the table, presumably making it non-gaffey.

If true and you look at it thataway it’s pretty clear who the cheat is.

Shouldn’t Guama have known after shooting a few games on it that something was wrong and stopped right then? After all it was gaffed specifically for him. He never said a word or even realized it was changed. He found out a few days after the match.

Tightening a few rail bolts (THE DAY BEFORE THE MATCH) is not a major modification, anyone that knows tables knows that, and the people playing on the table knew that.
The table saw plenty of play before the match, and NOBODY (not even Guama) complained.
The table remained "gaffed" (you could see Oscar firing balls down the rail to no avail the day of the match) and the only reason this whole thing is an issue is because the losers wanted an excuse for losing. If it was anything real, they would have refused to pay, which they did not do.

Not a hater and don't need an excuse.

It's just a matter of principle: you don't fook with the table before a match. I doubt any here would proceed with a big money match on their home table after someone from out of town monkeyed around with their table right before said match. It happened... but it shouldn't 'av, IMO.
