Predator Men's 10 Ball JAX

This is one department that PBS has edge over WNT

Filler looked terrific. I think getting back into the Mosconi put a pep in his step. Allowed him to overcome a seeming mental hurdle created by the WNT-WPA conflict in 2024.
You are giving too much credit to WNT. Calm down cos you are beginning to sound like Matchroom/WNT cybertrooper :D

I didn't give WNT any credit - it doesn't deserve any. Filler earned his spot on the team under the rules.

Yet IMO he hasn't been entirely the same, and definitely not as consistent, since the spat. It had to weigh on him being criticized and ostracized by other players. Seemed to stay more to himself. Until the recent Mosconi. He was as fiery and as passionate as ever. Great to see.

Could it be something else? Sure. Heck, Gorst hasn't been the same this year, either. Whatever the case, it's good to see the Killer playing like the Killer.

I think you've got this right. Josh was surely excited to be back in the mix at the Mosconi after the persecution he endured from Matchroom. His play at the Mosconi was exceptional and his enthusiasm was high. He duplicated that high level of play in Jacksonville and it added up to his first significant title in months.

We'll never know how, or even whether, the spat with Matchroom affected Josh and, in the end, it is none of our business anyway, but it seems Matchroom has decided to let bygones be bygones and, in doing so, they have greatly increased the quality of their professional pool offering.

Agreed. I always considered it a selling point of the Predator 10ball events that the pockets were a little looser than those found at the WNT majors.

Whether it is 9ball or 10ball, 4" pockets make the game a little less interesting to this fan.
I agree, I like when players have to make a choice to play safe or go for the shot, it also makes it playing safe harder because you have to be more precise, it makes match ups between different player styles more interesting, if the table plays so tight it's not worth the risk of going for the shot then you will get a safety fest game, not the most exciting game to watch or attract new billard fans......

Yeah. They've had the Arc at the last few events and went back to the Apex.
I don't recall these issues with the custom top for the 1-pocket event last year...
The Predator ARC tables have been used exclusively in Europe/Asia, have not made it to North America yet.
