Pagulyan Carbon Fiber shaft?

I’ve tried to get images of how the bumper and extension looks but couldn’t get any.
I also tried to remove the bumper of one of my Schons and it was impossible. So I just dropped it… started using my Jacoby instead
Budget Billiards sells an extension set for Schon: https://budgetcues.com/collections/...extension-to-fit-schon?variant=45761453621503

For the bumper, there's a hex bolt that holds the bumper on. On the 3 that I have, the bumper is very tight and difficult to remove. Then, there's essentially a big flat head weight bolt. One note: If the weight bolt is aluminum, it is structural.

I have 2 extensions from budget billiards for my Joss's, they work fantastic https://budgetcues.com/collections/...to-fit-viking-pool-cue?variant=46077460676863

on side note, their communication sucks

I’m more surprised that Schon don’t offer an extension solution.
From player’s choice they have become a non important brand.
I know that their bumper and weight bolt are all glued but there has to be a solution ot at least change the construction for new cues.

I hardly use my Schon cues because of that. I do have a slip-on extension but it’s not as good as a screw in extension that feels part of the cue.

All the other top production cues have it.
I have 4 Schons, none of the weight bolts were glued in. And surely the bumper, it's held in by a small allenscrew that screws into the weight bolt. I also have three extension bumpers and carbon extensions for them made by Rick Roper. Really nice stuff, and approved by Schon. He changed his design later to a quick release bumper, really nice but it wasn't worth changing. Sadly he stopped making extensions, he was great to work with.
I just looked up extensions for Schon and many came up. Interesting in that Ali express showed a quick release one that looked a lot like Ricks. They are not plastic threads.

Love my Schon and I have a gen 1 extension from Rick for it. If not for my Cohen it would still be my daily player.

I think it worked for harley because they patented the sound of the motor. It really is a great sound.
There is no patent on the sound. They attempted to do that but failed.
I was sarcastically referring to how they overcharge for an inferior product to make people believe they have something special. It worked really well for them in the 90's when they had a 1 to 2 year wait list.
The real key to their survival is that they are selling an identity more so than the motorcycle.

okay, still a great sound

Do people in China (Mainland not Taiwan) play American pool or mostly Chinese 8-ball?
I grew up in Xiamen. Before 2018, most pool halls are American pool, and after that year, Chinese 8-ball started to gain much more popularity. But I would say Fujian province (in the cities Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou) and Shanghai are the two biggest American pool hubs in China (mainland). Shanghai has a successful american pool hall chain called Yuan8, and it now has a location in Xiamen as well. Most pool halls in Xiamen are a mix of American and Chinese 8-ball tables, favoring Chinese version.
What name brands pool cue are popular (aka sell good) over there?
There are so many. Zen cue 仁杆 is the Chanel in all pool cue brands. I personally use a Fury (威利) butt and a Cueless (李斯)butt. Both brands I like and are affordable and sell(I assume) well. I got the cuelees phantom sword back home for 4800cny = 700usd. They also sell on seybert's but much more expensive https://seyberts.com/collections/cu...shark-skin-wrap-ls-b03?variant=43874675785926

I have not hit with his new shaft. People who have done so at the Derby and the CSI expo seem to like it.

Since this thread resurfaced, I can update to say that I did get a chance to hit with the Pristine shafts (all three tip sizes). They definitely feel and sound great.

I msg'd Pag's website and asked if they make the tubes. As i thought they don't. They wouldn't say who does just that they don't disclose their supply chain.
Probably the same suppliers the rest of us can buy carbon fiber parts to build a shaft. That or a cheap Asian wholesaler most likely.

Materials are around 120 bucks. Then a bit of labor. Way less than a maple shaft that’s for sure.

I would never pay that for a cue shaft. I would probably play a raffle or two to try to win one if they came up. That's how I ended up with my Whyte Carbon as I would never pay full price for one.
