2026 JOY Heyball Grand Masters Finals

Well, i gave it my all. This game still just leaves me flat. There's no 'spark' to it imo. The coverage was good, i like the refs on every match but the game is just not a fun watch. If you like it go for it. Wouldn't mind playing it but there's no table within 1000mi of me. Its never going to be a hit in the US. Its damn near impossible to get people on a regular 9ft, they'd never go for this.

Down 32-25 G. Potts recovered until hill-hill. Kunpeng broke dry! Potts misses the 2nd ball of the sequence... Kunpeng solves a cluster and get a bad cushion roll after trying to remove the penultimate ball off the cushion.. drama, but Kunpeng played a successful crosse table to the middle pocket. Tap in the last 2 balls and win...
Last 4 in the tournament are chinese players. At the moment no other country player from the planet can win there.

Potts must feel absolutely twisted sick after missing that two ball,

final 8 pays around 20k, final 4 gets 40k,

in a manner of speaking that was an expensive 20k missed shot on the two

unreal match and final frame, as was Zhang's cross bank on his second last ball to get him over the line

40k for 3rd when winner gets 750k.. that's very top heavy.

works for them

this game has many cultural differences that most here are just not familiar with

having been to China several times and played in some of those rooms their way of doing things is just different, at the same time very easy to adapt

unfortunately i still have not had a chance to attend a tournament

To generate this level of prize money, they would need to be selling thousands of tables every week.

It's pretty clear the money is coming from elsewhere.
I was talking with a manufacturer/wholesaler who does business in China and is in a position to know, and he said that if you add up participants in all cue sports, more than half of them play heyball. If that's true, and I can believe that it is, that could provide the needed funding.
