Stronger quality field, little dead money

More choices for viewers-multi format, multi discipline. Something competitive to watch even from Day 1.

Yes, PBS is delivering in first 4 months of this year while Matchroom WNT is going down down down.
Any significant WNT event this year? No, not recent “so called major” European Open which had probably worst field in WNT history -tonnes of dead money.
Folks are getting wary and weary of WNT “politics”, interference and manipulation. Such as WNT high handedness in penalizing those who do not ”bend the knee” (eg. Filler omission from MC, SVB snub from RC), MC player captains don’t work for it get free roll paid double , pick their buddy over more deserving players :ROFLMAO:

I was playing 1pocket in my home room just a bit ago and out of the corner of my eye I see my opponent freeze up against the wall.

I shoot my shot, turn around and find SVB has started hitting balls on the table next to us. Now to me, after so many tournaments, no big deal. To my European friend it's a whole nuther story and he plows his next shot straight into the rail, unscrews, and says, "I'm done. Can't play with a champion shooting next to me."

Not super excited about this.

I find 8 ball at the pro-level very boring to watch.

Will be interesting to see how Bergman gets on.

I remember Mark or Ozzy from CSI saying many years ago that their most popular pro events in terms of viewership was 8b (and I believe it wasn’t close). That doesn’t mean you or anyone else has to like it, but clearly many people do.

I was just down there! If anyone has spare time I can't recommend the City Museum enough. It's absolutely bonkers. Lots of amazing architecture from past buildings that were torn down integrated into the new concepts. Visionary stuff.

Go to: Pappy's for some amazing barbecue; Lorenzo's on The Hill for some good Northern Italian; hit Sasha's (two locations) for a pleasant foodie/wine experience; Mai Lee for some Vietnamese; or Brasserie down the street from me for French.

Other than that you're on your own.

you're welcome

yea, that will be interesting. the gaffy rack (and break from the side tactic that follows) may suit him well.

ruslan is another one in the outside lane to watch out for. brilliant pattern player.

Ruslan Chinakhov had a rough run at the Matchroom ranking event a couple days ago though. Lost to Emil Gangfløt and then a local pro, Mhet Vergara (~720 Fargo).
