PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

That's Chris Robinson, he's a pretty decent player.
He's iight. Probably makes more money giving lessons.

Watched Seo/Zielinski vs Gorst/Hung. Great match with a lot of solid play both ways.

Seo and Zielinski are an interesting team. He can get really negative at the table, yet she is a picture of composure. I think her consistently cheerful demeanor at the table rubbed off on him a little, and it was nice to see. She seemed to bring out the best in him. Well played!

Feels like a rule change is needed.

Winner breaks is fine, but should be capped to 5 break and runs from the start of the game.

So in the Biado example, the break would have automatically switched at 5-0.

With this approach, in a straight pool match, they should stop a run at 50 and switch players…

The statistics show that winner break and alternate breaks even out.
Sometimes we witness something like that, it doesn’t happen very often, just let it be.

I prefer winner breaks (and looser rack)

No... way.

For those that don't know: IMO's, a local favorite -- is a cracker thin pizza covered with provel cheese which is a processed blend of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone. To say the least, it is an acquired taste and if you're not from STL and been eating it since birth it's a tough swallow. If you must seek out a midwest specialty go to White Castle, lol.

Lots of blowback about that cheese. Provel!! Love it or hate it, it's us.
Not sure I'd hit the castle tho. Was a standard weekend go to fare in the day. Now, not so much. Somebody must be eating them tho bcuz they're still going strong.
See Lou for the Rolaids.😉

The racks should be tight, not looser.

[Just kidding.] I know what you meant: loser racks. :giggle:

Yesterday afternoon, Window's Open with both Mikes held an excellent podcast with a lot of behind-the-scenes information about the event, the St. Louis venue, the players, what's missing, what's great, Polish presence, and much, much more. It was really very informative. Worthy of a listen.

Bergman is such a great doubles player.

He is a better doubles player than any other American player.

This is one of the reasons why he needs to be in the Mosconi Cup team.

He always makes his partner feel super comfortable. Credit to Fu, she is also a world class performer.

If Fu played full time, she would be a dominant force.

The Bergman Derangement Syndrome is strong with this one.

Fu completely carried that match, she was a wonder to behold. Bergman pretty much gave up halfway through and started moping around in his seat. He has no business on the Mosconi Cup team.

Provel cheese is gross. It might be us, but I am disowning it.

that's a harsh statement, especially considering the scalps he took in the 8-ball. i would say his comeback is still in the works. give him a few more events. the alternatives are still tyler and billy
