Good times. Actually, it was in 2019. I was there in the action room that night, too. Chang's backers offered a 30K match in 10ball (race to 50 if memory serves) on day 1 of that Derby City Classic and nine days later, nobody had accepted the offer. Shane and Orcullo were there in the action room that evening and their backers had no interest. Filler and Chang ended up playing a race to 17 in 10ball for 3K, with Filler prevailiing 17-14. Jeremy Jones, who commentated, called it "possibly the best 10ball I've ever witnessed."This reminds me of being in the Pool Action TV room at the Derby in 2015 or 2016 and Chang was warming up to play Filler a set of 10b. Chang breaks like a cannon and Alex Pagulayan says “If I could break like that I wouldn’t have to play one pocket!”
Chang had beaten Filler earlier in the week in the Bigfoot 10ball final. I'm sure Josh knew he was getting into one tough game.
