Biggest Package Run Against you?

I was talking to a friend of mine about 14.1 and he mentioned his practice partner running 100+ on him one inning which got me thinking. What's the biggest package or run (rotation, 8 ball or 14.1) you've had to sit and watch in the chair? Mine was just practicing before a league match and my teammate ran 5 racks of 9 ball. Mind you he rarely ever ran out period. Even to this day they're rated around 500 fargo which means they were temporarily playing way over their head.

152 for me in the chair. Dennis Spears in NJ. Anyone that knows him will know that wasn't a fluke. Dennis is an exceptionally strong player - very naturally talented.

I'm not sure of how many racks my opponent strung together, but I got down 40 racks of 9 ball in about 2-3 hours. It was a local shortstop (strong shortstop though) that I caught in dead stroke one day. I don't believe he missed more than two or three times in that session. I should have unscrewed before 40 racks!

Reminds me of a story Eric Durbin told about getting stuck like 200+ games for a good amount of money playing bar-table in SoCal. Quite a blitzing.

you get stuck a handful of games you have the worst of it most all times and are a sucker to keep playing without getting adjustments.
even then you rarely get enough to come back. i know all the stories of the guy stuck 20 games and comes back out running the nuts. doesn't tell about him being broke next week and then after.

long back in straight pool when i was a kid i got played sometimes where they had to run 100 before i make 25. hard to win at that as 100 run is not hard for a good player.

Joe Salazar ran out of set on me playing 9 ball on a bar table. We're playing race to 7, I never shot. I'm old and I've been playing so long I don't even remember how many times I've lost sets where the guy ran out the remainder of the set 5, 6, 7 racks.
Straight pool had lots of guys run out on me. Freddy the beard ran 89 and out with me just needing a few. I only once had a guy run out from the opening break in one inning 100-point game.
It was Gene Nagy. I didn't know him or I certainly would not have been playing him even, if at all.

Anyone 380 and above is dangerous if the table falls well for them and they are in their zone.

i lost one 8 ball final in Finnish pool tour.. guy lagged on rail and ran out set 8-0. He is just amateur too. Nowadays we got alternative breaks.. happened about 20 year ago.
Quite strong. A friend of mine once broke and ran out three consecutive three-game sets (9games total) after winning the flip. He was a 200+ ball runner in 14.1 but 8 Ball was his best game.

In OKC Norm Hitchcock put a 7 pack on me after I had won the 1st game and thrn broke dry .Very humbling , but not unexpected given my level of play back then .

Chuckg

Archer put a 7 on me at a tourney in 89

score was 2 ea ( should have been 4 to zip my way, but i dogged a couple of shots) when he came with 7

his break was awesome, making at least a couple of balls on the snap every rack

I sat thru quite a few of those at first.

A friend of mine ran 5 or 6 racks of 8 ball against me once. Playing on a 7' Diamond. He is currently a 506 Fargo. I still won the set though
