Long Island/Rhode Island/Mass tournaments?

Amazin Billiards in Malden, MA has quite a few tournements, definitely a place you need to go. I haven't been there but a buddy of mine plays there occasionally and I watch some of their streams on YouTube, lots of 600+ players. If you play in one of their tournaments post it up here so we can watch the stream. I do know the building was sold and he was looking for a new place, not sure when that is supposed to happen. The owner is a world renowned 3C player and I've been told the tables are well taken care of.

Rack Em Up Billiards in Fall River, MA is another place you should stop at. I did get to play here for a couple of hours, it's got an old school vibe. According to their FB page they do have tournaments but I don't know when they happen. Tables were in decent shape, clearly used but not abused.

There may be a small Saturday tournament by me. I’ll find out and let you know.

What town are you staying in?
Whichever one I want! I'll spend a few days in NJ for work, then I can go anywhere Thursday-Sunday before going to Long Island for work.

I’m heading to NJ June 10-12. I usually go to Rockaway billiards or Sandcastle billiards. When I feel really brave I get on the Subway to Skyline billiards. If I only want to practice it’s Hoboken billiards. I have no idea about tournaments.

Long Island is no where near Rhode Island or Massachusetts. Raxx Billiards is where everyone goes for tournaments on Long Island. WPBA was there last month, and they're hosting the $5K added Ginky Memorial this coming weekend.

Carom Cafe & Cue Bar in Queens NY attracts most of the tournament crowd. Manhattan is Amsterdam, Society & NY Cue Club.

Bergen Billiards is another option for north NJ with their week night tournaments. They recently hosted the USBA Nationals.

I know all my listed locations aren't near each other. I'll be working in NJ for a few days, then Long Island the next week. I have about four days in between to find something to do. I like Mass and Rhode Island so I included them.

Thanks for the tips!! Might check out Raxx while I'm there.

Bergen is great for 3c billiards.

If you are in New Jersey, definitely check out Bergen Billiards. The guy who owns it has done an amazing job at refurbishing the place and it has become a great hall. If you are looking for nine ball tournaments, they host weekday single day tournaments on mondays and wednesdays IIRC.

Raxx is the place to be in Long Island. I only say that because I have no idea what other big halls are out there besides Bayshore Billiards and I've never heard of them doing much in the way of tournaments.

If you plan on trying to play in NYC, the MVP tour has basically replaced Tony Robles' Predator tour and they hold many tournaments during the week and on weekends. Lots of really top flight players in the area go there.
