weird situation for sure. i've seen players buying players but never both ending up in the final.
as i said on page one, evan was undervalued in the calcutta. previous winner, routinely beats the other top players, has a great temperament and is still improving

The finals turned into an absolute war — a grueling two-set showdown that went hill-hill before Evan finally came out on top.

There were social media rumblings about Fedor having a possible interest in dumping since he had part of Evan Luna in the Calcutta. He quickly squashed that thought, and I do believe him, 100 percent.

Evan grew up playing out of my private club (RAC) then my pool room (The Rack). His dad Elliott (Frenchy) still plays and always plays for something $
. When he was about 9-10 years old he’d hide on the floor in the back of his dads car until Frenchy got to the pool room (Bogarts) and then he’d pop out and would get to stay. It was too far to take him home and come back again.
We’d babysit Evan and his brother Eron (RIP
) and all Evan wanted to do was play. I’d try to make him practice straight pool but he just loved one pocket and golf on the 6x12. He couldn’t play by himself more than 5 minutes at a time so he was always playing someone. He was a handful when he was young but he’s become a great great father (2 beautiful girls, teenagers now
) and a good man.

I think that one thing that makes it better in this case is that we knew who had half of Evan. Fedor did not hide that.
I think any time the Calcutta is as big as or larger than the regular prize fund, problems -- or at least suspicions -- will occur.
I wonder if Fedor had all of Fedor.
