ADVICE ON CLEANING FOREARM

i dont know what got on the forearm of my cue but it did not rub off with a paper towel(done gently)
any advice on what i can try myself (i do not have a lathe)
or do i need to bring it to a cue repair person or does it need a cue maker?

I think it's from the pocket liner on the diamond tables. I get that on my cues. It will come off.
1.Try rubbing very gently with a warm damp rag( Micro fiber cloth)
2. A very gentle non abrasive furniture polish might work also.
3. Magic Eraser warm water and go lightly/gently.
Or wait until you hear from a cue maker.

I do not play on diamonds, but I play on a Goldcrown one where the pocket liner is raised above the surface of the table

Are the scuffs from a particular days play (a certain pool room) or have they been accumulating? My Diamond does the exact thing to my cue(s).
Not currently in Fl but if you ever need to use a lathe for something or a new tip please come over...

It has not been accumulating. I just happened to notice it a few days ago.
And thanks for the offer to use the lathe

I wouldn't use magic eraser. If you do make sure to do wet with water and a touch of dish soap for lubrication.

Musky… First time I used a ME. It was dry. Messed up the wall. Had to learn how to use it. I do use the Eraser to clean shafts. But yes it has to wet/damp with a good cleaning media and proper touch.

Agreed probably pocket scuffs. Wet paper towel with water or alcohol.

I use lens cleaner wipes that I use on my eye glasses - they work great and don't damage the finish.
