A few of these matches have popped up on my YouTube but I can't figure out what it's called. Looks like a fun game.

EDIT: Also looking for the official rules.

Looks like a variation of rotation....shoot low ball on table and total points on balls pocketed...61 points win. Used to play that as a teenager, room had at least one table going all weekend...Would add "money balls" and pay on scratches to the mix and play partners...1 and 5 ball partners. Great fun.

Good catch on the 61 points, I'll have to go back and check. I just assumed the older guy was getting a spot because it was clear the younger guy was a better player.

There may have been a spot involved and some other variation...but the heart of the game looks like rotation...some called it Chicago.

It was called Razzle where I'm from.
Razzle was a little different. With razzle you can shoot out of rotation and it would count as long as another ball struck the lowest ball on the table...whereas with rotation you had to strike the lowest ball first and then anything made counted. Played tons of razzle, same as rotation, 1 and 5 partners... $.25 -.50 per way and per scratch. Razzle was very local, grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, you must have been pretty local as well.

I loved playing doubles ODD BALL at $.25 a way. Pay after 2 games and rotate partners

Ok, Honduran Rotation Pool it is :)

I wasn't sure about the Chicago thing but a quick did have one explanation of putting the balls against the rail but, I'm going with Honduran Rotation, maybe Mexican pool.

Didn't see that the game started with the balls against the rail rather than in a triangle on the spot...Still a variation of rotation and a little further away from Chicago.
