U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

Pretty good cheer for Baoanon winning a rack.
SVB super aggressive going rail first on the 6. Kinda surprised he didn't just run into the 7.
No harm done.

Anyone else think the player from winner's side should always break first?

Baonan won 3/3 and SVB won 2/3 so why does it come down to a lag.

Players should be rewarded for winning all of their matches.

Only do the lag if both players are from winner's side.
WS players are already rewarded with the draw. No need to give them more rewards.

Man, Mickey Krause is completely rattled on table 4 vs Bergman. Some good safes from Bergman and a ball off the table from a jump shot really has taken him off his game.

It might be an interesting analysis to see if the players that make it through to the single elimination stage from the last few years of MR majors have had on average higher or lower fargorate depending if they came thru undefeated or with one loss.

Due to the seeding rewarding participation (via money won, but you still must enter to win money), there are often many players seeded lower but play as good as the top seeds. Shane and Filler and Gorst, for example.

I'd venture to guess they might actually be very close to tied.

Like to see Mickey and his master's chalk prevail.

Someone asked about the draw and seeding. Karl said on the stream that the pre-tournament seeding stays with the player as long as they are on the winner’s side.

However, they draw the losers into the winners, so once someone like SVB is on the B side the seeding is gone 1 which is how we have a potential Shane vs Fedor in the last 32.

We've got to figure something out to get shot clocks on these outer table matches. 3.5 hours for a race to 10 is embarrassing

i would say it's the most important and urgent change needed in pool.

couldnt AI be used somehow? a little camera on each table?
