The GC7 is def slower and banks longer than a brand new Diamond 9’. The GC7 is proper.

I took a 3D printed ball with a flat base to the expo and marked where it touched the cushion on both tables. The GC7 was about .75-1mm higher. (.030” - .040” or so).

I talked to the Brunswick president about that and he said something to the affect that it was on purpose and Gregory did the rail design.

I asked Gregory on FB a few months back if the cushions are exactly the same. His answer (me paraphrasing) was he was not at liberty to discuss those details as it’s not his company.

Oh I will. I've still got a mess. Not that that's ever stopped me from videoing...lol I'm waiting for my tailor's chaulk so I can mark the spots and the break box. Should be here in the next couple of hours.

If you just wanna see me hit some balls I can post a video of me messing around on it.
 
I've been mostly watching the open today but I did manage to practice the break for a bit with some banging around thrown in.

Everything in the background is either brand new in the box or an empty box. I have two heads for my 306 build for my 64.5 mustang, an intake and fuel rails, injectors etc. Two super chargers, set of forged rods and pistons. That's the only room I have to store stuff, everything else is under the control of my significant other and I don't want to see her with POW strength... I'll organize it better once I pick up my 306 from my dad's house. I've had surgeries and health problems that have prevented me from doing things for long stretches at a time. So F%^k off.

What many don’t realize is when you extend the sub rails to tighten the pocket on a Diamond, the shelf is far less deep than they are on a standard Diamond 4 1/2” pocket. We did it for 1 pocket at the hall I play at. As long as you get in the pocket it drops.

Why didn’t you flip the caliper over to measure the opening?

Thats why it’s made like that, you can measure the inside of a pipe instead of holding it along the rim.

It’s more accurate than holding it along side of the pocket facings.

Either way there's nothing at that angle to hold it in place... Ok I guess there was...lol
